They started off as a two-year degree institution and now they have developed bachelors programs and have a program called "Direct Connect" where if you go into a degree that you can start, but not finish in Valencia, you can continue in UCF and you have a guarantee admission to UCF. It also means you get preference as a future admission in UCF if you want to go into a graduate program. With Direct Connect you can also enroll in UCF, but take classes in Valencia, if transportation or location is an issue for you; and these courses count as UCF credits. Finally, not only do they continue to grow and have 4 campuses between Osceola Campus and Orange County, with several attainable degrees, they also offer financial aid programs, scholarships and grants. Actually, they have around 25,000 students you get grants. The career center counselor is an A-hole and he will make you feel like you can't make it in life. He needs to work on how to talk to people. The cafeteria doesn't make your food with love. Plus some of the professors are not doing a good job on helping students learn. You will leave confused out of these classes. On the plus side the Library staff is great and the writing center. They will make sure to help you in whatever you need. This used to be such a great campus but now I am just never coming back for sure.

i'm a mathematician - with a master of science degree from james madison university. my favorite…read moreclass was statistics and probability. i documented and proved mathematically that the nursing program has a completely arbitrary grading paradigm, and that they do not follow any policy regarding who passes and who does not. that is to say, if they decide that they don't want you to pass, they will create a fabrication to base their decision on. when i very explicitly documented this and presented it to the board of directors, instead of correcting the problem, i was failed, and given a trespass warning in the meanwhile, the dean of the nursing program resigned and accepted a position with valencia college. the officer of equal opportunity and diversity also left, (as did the director of the office for students with disabilities) after numerous complaints that were brought to the attention of the president (sidor) were dismissed. the administrators who were aware of the problem, and knew that the problem wasn't being addressed or corrected, left for better academic environments, leaving behind a cabal of pseudoadministrators with so many choices of places to go to school (dsc, valencia, rollins, stetson, ucf) there isn't any reason to attend this third rate school if you absolutely need a school in lake county to go to, and even though it isn't a college, i would recommend lake technical school (laketech.org) over lssc

Luckily, I found Eddy Security and Training who fit me days before my license expired despite their normal classes already being full. Todd the owner worked around my schedule and met me on a Tuesday afternoon. The 4 hour requal cost $70 plus a $16 range fee at Reigs Gun Shop and Range. Todd was really knowledgeable and had a great understanding of security. Todd teaches the D & G combined class Monday- Saturday 10a-9p with an 8 hour range day at Reigs on Sunday. Afterwards, many of his students obtain licenses through FDACS and find meaningful employment with a security agency. Todd said several of his students were hired by Paragon Systems and Rancom Security who specialize in GSA contracts with higher than average entry wages with no previous experience. Todd also teaches concealed weapon and women's handgun defense classes with his wife. Prices for each class can be found on Eddy's website but don't include any applicable licencing fees required by FDACS. Eddy Security and Training is located in same shopping plaza as Sonic. The plaza has an orange colored roof and the suite overhead sign says "407 Academy" which can be found on the Northeast side of the Plaza.
