I…read morecannot speak on the quality of the other programs, but if you were considering OTC for surgical technology...run far away! The surgical tech program here only gives you the AST certification...not an AS degree or the national board certification that most hospitals and surgical centers look at for their new hires. Besides that, my instructor MELISSA RODRIGUEZ was extremely unprofessional, lazy, and more childish than most of the students attending the program. She would gossip about all of the students and if you did not try to be best friends with her and kiss her butt every second of the day, she would turn incredibly rude and give you no guidance whatsoever. There were so many things that I needed to learn that she never showed the class. A month before my lab final she excluded me from practicing in the OR with her simply because she had negative, personal feelings towards me. I witnessed her enabling cheating from my other classmates and the list of unprofessionalism just goes on and on... Unfortunately, the director of the program, TIMOTHY LAMB seems to protect her unprofessional behaviors instead of doing the right thing by the students and hiring a much better, and qualified instructor. The social environment of the program, and especially my own classroom became so toxic to me that I made the decision to withdraw halfway through this program in order to protect my mental health. If OCPS knows what's good for them and the success of the attending students, they would do a complete overhaul of the surgical technology department. I am currently enrolled to start a much better program at another school in the near future. I can't say I didn't receive SOME type of learning experience from my time there! Now, onto better and more positive experiences.

I graduated there in 2019 and I have lost out on 2 jobs because they couldn't get a hold of these people to verify my course completion. Even taking into consideration the lowest of the low price, this school follow through and customer service is a freakin' joke. I can't speak on curriculum for every course obviously but for the nursing course the quality of the instruction you get is questionable honestly.

I write this review not for the sole purpose of bashing but to genuinely warn anyone who wanting to go to a school that will look out for you like they say they will. I seen feuds happen between teachers and admin about catering to basic needs to the students , I've seen teachers get fired and steal out the same lab (that we barely had things in already) Keep in mind I completed my program even though they tried to screw me in my last month trying to make me fail the last class due to attendance (that I had a 91% in at the end of the class) all because they knowingly force everyone too do a tedious career prep class that should be offered day 1 yet it's the #1 class that over 80%!! Of students end up not finishing because it's the most tedious time consuming stuff that won't apply to your field or anything you've done your whole time enrolled it's just a class they throw in there so the school can get "extra money" even though everyone's aware of it's uselessness from the mouth of their financial aid director. A big shout out to Dan Bacarri and Gerald Hightower if it weren't for them that school wouldn't be worth a damn. Stefani the education director is the most useless person ever she's nothing but a face for show any real issues you have she will never have a solution too an always trying to send you too someone else to fix the issue. All in all STAY FAR AWAY FROM STC unless you're keen on wasting your time and money. I just hope this review saves a poor soul for signing them selves up for this debt hole of a school.

My Yorkie had 2 massive seizures during his last grooming appointment and I was so reluctant to put him through the stress of another session. My friend assured me that Manessa had the experience of working with senior dogs and that she would make the grooming session as stress-free as possible. When we arrived, right away I noticed how clean and calm the facility was. There were several dogs there and you could hear the hum of the dryer but it wasn't anything that frightened my dog. Manessa was so patient as she listened to me and cuddled with my dog to make him feel comfortable. She allowed me to stay close by to watch her work and give my dog some reassurance. We made it through his grooming session, complete with shampoo and blow dry, without a seizure and he looks better than ever! Thank you to the staff at Woof Gang Academy of Grooming for making this a positive experience and showing such compassion to my beloved pet.
