I was bullied by both girls and guys and struggled in school. Noone stuck up for me as all the other students were too fearful of being outcasted. I was even bullied in front of a teacher and they didn't step in. I believe the issue here is too many kids of privilege who have yet to learn kindless that im confident they've all learned later in life. At least I hope.. Unless your child is coming from one of the major Catholic middle schools in the area and will already have a set of friends, please don't risk sending your precious child here. I did not feel prepared for college upon leaving. I left my senior year due to my presistant begging (thanks Mom and Dad).

Teachers don't teach and wait till the last minute to grade, explain, and email and are truly lazy. The guidance councilors are some of the least hospitable and caring people I've met. Although Mr. Q and Mr. Vanscoy were always helpful, people like Ms. Cadet were always very passive aggressive and made me feel ostracized and uncomfortable in multiple situations. The school was also dirty. There would be trash EVERYWHERE in the Moring from kids eating breakfast that would remain in the same spot for the whole week if not longer. I always felt bad as they only had one male custodian to clean the ENTIRE school which I found quite absurd especially when vast majority of the kids that go to the school act a mess. The bathrooms often had dried menstrual blood on the walls, dust forming stalagmites off the vents (which is not only a fire hazard but a bio hazard as well), and even dried vomit. There was also inch piles worth of pigeon feces in hallways and on the stairwells as well. It is hard to even feel safe when basic necessities such keeping a cleanly environment is so poorly neglected. The programs imo were also poorly run like ib classes getting cut left and right and ap phasing out it felt like it was hard to find a true passion and success for my field. It was also hard to utilize recourses like the library as it was closed nearly every week or had limited access like only keeping the door open the first ten minutes of lunch. Overall, do not go here because everything and anything was poorly managed and the only person who I saw take initiative to better the school at all was probably Ms. Allen.

While the school presents itself very well on the outside, the reality has been very different. It often feels like the focus is more on collecting money than truly supporting the students and providing quality leadership. The principal's leadership has been very concerning. There have been multiple instances where his communication with students has come across as disrespectful and inappropriate. There have also been interactions and behaviors that raised serious concerns for our family about fairness and how certain students may be treated, which should never be something parents have to worry about in a school environment. The football program has also been extremely disappointing. Families pay over $200, expecting proper coaching and development, but the junior varsity team appears to be set up for failure, with little accountability from the coaching staff and too much blame placed on the players. There are only a handful of coaches who seem genuinely committed and capable, and sadly two of the strongest coaches recently left the school ( which are brothers) coach Jhenco great coach. Before enrolling your child here, I strongly encourage parents to do thorough research, ask detailed questions, and speak with current and former families. The school may paint a beautiful picture, but our experience has shown that appearances can be very misleading.

I am beyond disappointed with how this school handled a situation involving my daughter. Her phone…read morewas taken during finals week, even after she explained multiple times that it was her ONLY way to get home. Since students were not allowed to bring backpacks during finals, she had no other belongings with her, and her bus pass/payment is on her phone. When the phone was first taken, my daughter calmly explained to the teacher that she needed it at the end of the day because I was unable to pick her up from school. The teacher originally told her she could get it back later. However, another staff member made an extremely insensitive comment saying, "If you really cared about your phone, you would've put it away." That response completely ignored the actual issue. This was not about "caring about a phone," it was about a child trying to safely get home. My daughter then went to the dean to explain the situation again. Instead of helping, he told her it "wasn't his problem" and that the phone was marked for parent pickup. She tried calling me and her father from the office, but unfortunately we were both at work and unable to answer at that moment. We had no idea what was happening until she came home and explained everything. After trying to contact us, she went back to the teacher to once again explain that she literally had no way to pay for the bus without her phone. Instead of listening, the teacher accused her of "arguing in the middle of class," which was not true according to my daughter. Then, when my daughter explained again that she couldn't just "go home" without access to her bus payment, the teacher yelled, "Then go home." At that point, my daughter became frustrated and admittedly cursed out of anger and panic. While I do not excuse disrespect, I absolutely understand why she felt helpless after being ignored repeatedly by multiple adults who were supposed to care about student safety and well-being. Instead of trying to de-escalate the situation or help her find a safe way home, the school chose to suspend her. The complete lack of empathy, communication, and concern shown by staff was honestly disgusting. No child should be told that getting home safely "isn't their problem." This situation could have been handled in a much more reasonable and compassionate way.

I say that because I attended a public school system in New Jersey. 98%-99% of my student body went on to college, so I can't complain about my educational experience. This is the first experience I've had with a private school system and it was nice. They offered the students a diverse educational experience as well as after-school activities.
