We hired this place to do a kitchen remodel and replace our floors. What was supposed to be a 2…read moreweek job took 4 months to complete. 6 months after the job was complete we contacted Richard Shaw (Chuck), the owner and guy we dealt with the entire time, and let him know the floor was breaking, cracking, bowing. The transitions were cracked, some were coming off of the floor. Cracks in the floor were found to be glued to be repaired. After a couple of months and many excuses later he finally came out and made a poor attempt to fix one part of the floor. He said he had to order more flooring and come back out. Even joking that we didn't feel like he would come back. Again after many texts messages and excuses, we finally requested a refund for the floor so we could have someone fix them correctly. We were ignored. He never returned any messages and left us with no other choice but to file a civil suit. We were trying to be patient. After 9 months of nonsense we had enough. We filed, showed up to court and were told they couldn't serve carolina home remodel. The physical address doesn't match the company apparently. So we are now left with a busted up floor that we spent thousands of dollars on and its been just over a year. We will continue to pursue legal action.

Matt came out and gave us an estimate on the work to be done, which included leveling our slab flooring and then installation of the vinyl and laminate flooring we picked. I wanted to go seamlessly through the house so we bought vinyl plank flooring that could go in every room including the bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry since they are waterproof. Matt started to work after we agreed on a VERY FAIR rate, better than most installers. He cleaned up the floors where we had removed the nasty carpet in our newly purchased home and then leveled the floors out in the spots that needed it. After a week's work, which every day we came over to see more and more of a dramatic shift from the previous to the new, Matt finished up the work including putting down the shoe molding and edging around the fireplace. Matt's work was excellent and I highly recommend him for any projects.
