This company DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. They set me up for automatic billing to my insurance for CPAP supplies several months ago. As of January i no longer have that insurance but they still sent my supplies. Trying to reach them by phone is futile. On hold for over 30 minutes TWICE. I'm also unable to access the patient portal to set up an account there. Waiting for them to realize they won't be getting paid for the supplies they sent before i hear from them. They don't seem to care. read more

I'm convinced that this company doesn't care at all about customer service. 72 days ago I contacted the company regarding an overpayment. Today when I called I was told that the overpayment was not processed and it would be another 4 to 6 weeks before I receive the check. I need to find another provider. read more

My husband and I both have c-pap machines and get our supplies from AHP. We also have Medicare. EVERY bill from this company has been for more $$ than Medicare says we owe. Every single one for over two years. I pay ONLY what Medicare says I owe and usually provide AHP with a copy of that part of my Medicare notice. I have called Medicare repeatedly for assistance when AHP has ignored my written comments and has billed and billed and billed for the overbilled amounts. I finally had a Medicare rep listen to my problem and we had a conference call with the AHP claims office who did finally review all their billings and agree with my accounting. Then the next bill they were back to overcharging... and threatening me with sending it to collections (ha, right now the amount they want is only $14.15 but they are not going to see a dime of it nor will I respond to them). WATCH THEIR BILLINGS VERY CAREFULLY AND PAY ONLY WHAT YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER SAYS YOU OWE!!!! read more

One bill for $95.85 for unopened box of supplies, which were returned with my CPAP, to the Gainesville American Home Patient office on October 27th, has now turned into multiple billings for late payment notices. It is amazing that no one in multiple offices seems to be able to find the payment I made through www.lincare.com that cleared my credit union on November 3rd, 2021. I am now, after 3-4 billing notices, having to chase down the alternate payment method used with my credit union to make payment because the card I tried to use first was declined due to fraud issues. I now find, the payment was actually made through the website with my account and routing number, yet they tell me that there was no other payment on my account. So, one would have to assume they sent it somewhere it didn't belong. If it hadn't cleared my credit union, I could understand their concern and I would pay it, but I won't, being that it has cleared. I got some more receptive people this morning, after talking to my credit union, so maybe we can get it straightened out. read more

Never again don't use this place. I rented a wheelchair and sleep app machine through my insurance. Well they never billed them so after 1 year they took my stuff. So I left them and used a different company. They did not care. read more

This Company is terrible. the office is a joke and the parent company is scamming your insurance company. I started getting bills because the insurance reached its total payout. American home Patient never contacted me to let me know. they just started billing me. so I'm trying to get in touch with someone regarding my bill and I've sat on hold for over two hours twice with no answer. I have been trying for 9 months to get their billing error of overcharges off my bill. Even got my insurance company to send them letters telling them they were overcharging and were putting their agreement with United Health Care at risk. United Health Care even called them in a three way call to explain to them their error with no luck. Not only did their reps treat me with rudeness they also told UHC that they refused to speak to UHC abound my case and said that I could call in to discuss my account. They never returned a phone call. Leave an message and no one returns calls. UHC has filed two complaints in my behalf and have told them they are putting their agreement at risk of cancellation. They continue send billing notices with collection threats. I was told I had to provide them with proof that I paid deductible so when I showed them on their own paperwork of the charge and authorization number, I was told no you have to show us on YOUR credit card statement that shows we accepted payment??? Total incompetence of the "customer pay" department is criminal. The ONLY way to contact them is through their internal email system. The reps are unable to read what is on the file or what Customer pay had done or see what is in my file. I am left with the impression that this is a criminal enterprise trying to steal money from patients and insurance companies. Let's not even talk about the 7 month delay that I had just getting the equipment after doctors orders and RX. Total incompetence in every interaction I have had with them. STAY AWAY from this company. Select someone else...anyone After more than a year of trying to get any solution to billing errors, the bill was way over $1200. They had sent many collections letters and had threatened to sent account to a collections agency I called to cancel service and I told them I was only going to pay what I thought I owed, around $700 and they took the offer! I've already complained to Blue Cross. they are cheating the insurance company and they know it. agent Hailey called me the N word. , when i said ok you can deliver 24 hours but you have to have a 5 day window to pick up. she said you N you do what we tell you. we got your money you have no choice. well i do have a choice never mind that it's take me 3 months to get this machine return because of promises and this and that. from the company. the last agent said well that's how it is....... read more

I am writing to BCBS to see if they can stop covering this provider. I waited twice for a pickup of CPAP and no one ever showed. Spoke with supervisor "George" or "Jorge" and he was unapologetic and defensive of his worker being late and no showing. I am really shocked this company is in business. I was hung up on by a "Paula" and called back and "Bonnie" answered. They sounded like the same confused person. No kidding. What a joke! How is this business a business. FLblue chose CareCentrix for their Durable Medical Goods supplier, CareCentrix chose American Homepatient to supply my CPAP equipment. We found both CareCentrix unreliable and American Homepaitent in their national offices both uncommunicative and inept. If we had a choice, and we don't we would have gone elsewhere. read more

Worst company ever. I have been trying to get a bill resolved since 2017. they keep sending bills but dont acknowledge any payments. I have tried to talk with them several times. We will never do business with this company or Lincare who is associated with them ever again!!!! read more

Customer service is extremely frustrating as you have to go through a maze of a phone system hoping you hit the right one, and after long waiting time they still are not very knowledgeable. They need to train their employees to get the customer's questions answered efficiently and effectively. Also to put information in writing so we know how, when, and the number to call to order. Avoid if you can. read more
