Breweries sent barrels of beer, but volunteers from South Siskiyou County were manning the taps and didn't know anything about the beer they were serving or the breweries they came from. Friendly for sure, but it fell way short of their Brewfests in the past and others run in Northern California. If they don't do something different this year we won't return.

The place itself is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for the day, with beautiful trees and sunlight and a big enough space to hold both our ceremony and reception. All of our guests who came couldn't stop complimenting the area, and some of them even talked about wanting to come back. It should be said that the workers at the park were also incredibly nice and accommodating to us and all of our questions and requests. We walked down to the water first and just sat relaxing and enjoying the sounds. The gardens were nice, if small, and I loved the Japanese Maples everywhere. This is a very family friendly and dog friendly spot. The bathrooms were oddly dark and I had to use the flashlight on my phone but they were reasonably clean and this location is totally free and open to any and everyone. The guy behind the counter just told me no and asked if they were all mine. I told him yes. Then he says he doesn't believe me, and I can sit and watch the movie with them, or leave. I had to get back to work and I don't like scary movies as well as other kids I had to go get after work. Ridiculous. I'm especially not going to blast my other children's family drama and being under my guardianship because of their parent's choices for everyone to hear. Do better. It's a movie.
