This home is located on the VA Greater Los Angeles (GLA) West LA campus. It has 21 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a dining room, and living room. I was given a tour by the Manager, Dr Erma Pickens, when I was invited as a guest speaker for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon. Dr Pickens is proud and passionate about their mission at GLA. This Fisher House is simply amazing. They provide a inviting, warm and comfortable environment for Veterans and their families or caregivers. The suites are also ADA compliant. The staff here is friendly, compassionate and truly love what they do. This Fisher House is fur baby friendly.

I spoke with a woman named Adelle from Purple Heart Foundation's main office in Virginia…read more703-256-6139 on behalf of a Veteran that needed assistance, I requested information for what services this foundation offered and the representative whom I spoke with said that their organization only helps Veterans file claims with the VA. I asked her about other services that are offered since their website says that ALOT more services and help is offered for our Veterans and she was very adamant about only that one service being offered to out Vets. This organization did not provide any other information about what the Purple Heart Foundation does to help out our Veterans, Adelle was very rude, and seemed upset that I was inquiring about their services.

Very kind and knowledgeable instructors and friendly staff, and it's not overrun with annoying people and ring-light influencers which is nothing short of an accomplishment in a specialty gym in this neighborhood. It feels relaxed and like there is privacy and mutual respect. The only detraction of one star is that the restaurant has really confusing hours and has sort of been a non-concept for months on end now. You should be able to get a drink after 5 p.m., otherwise what's the point of belonging to a gym with a beautiful bar and restaurant?
