I called them approximately one week before I was to have hand surgery (which was scheduled for 3/23/22), asking if they would help to deliver food to me until I was able to drive again. I was told they would approve me only under "special circumstances" because this program was only for seniors over the age of 65. As of the present , only 1 bag of food was delivered to my home ? And what a hassle and waste of time it was to try & fix the problem or even get a hold of someone to call me back. If you're ever in need of food delivery or assistance of any kind, your best bet is to call churches, a different charity or even the Salvation Army.

In fact they tried to add extra food that was not asked for and when questioned the answer was "my bad", it was 300.00 a tray. I know most of the food was bought at Costco and possibly microwaved. I will say I don't think the cookies were and though expensive were good. I bought 2 beers and a drink at the bar and was charged just over 38.00. Anyone thinking about having an event here beware. The food isn't that good and they are really expensive, plus keep an eye on your receipt.

The vast, expansive windows give a sweeping view of the golf course which is nice. The gold chairs around every table were elegant except the chair pads on them were dirty. The tables were set up very well. They had round gold paper as table mats which I'm not sure was necessary. The appetizer service was good. They came around about 2 or 3 times to offer meatballs, jalapeño poppers, deviled eggs and bruschetta topped with tomatoes and olives. The appetizers were standard for weddings. They weren't spectacular but they were appreciated. My least favorite was the deviled eggs which I normally love but they didn't prepare it well. The salad was just that salad mix you but at Costco. The waitress literally threw the plate at my husband and I. I think she was on a rush but seriously! The bread rolls were warm and I like the everything seasoning on it. The main dish was good! It was a thick, juicy chicken with melted cheese on top. The grilled veggies were also very good. The potatoes on the side were not bad. The service was alright except for that one incident. My mother went to Valley Haven for 4 years. She has Alzheimer's and Valley Haven was truly a Haven…read morefor my mother. The staff always treated my Mom with kindness and warmth. Mom looked forward to the bus picking her up on Valley Haven days. At Valley Haven she was greeted with a warm cup of coffee and a breakfast snack. Then the activities began. These could include games, crafts, entertainment, visits from therapy dogs, field trips or scenic drives. Valley Haven provided a lunch and afternoon snack. She was returned via the Valley Haven bus in the afternoon. The peace of mind that Valley Haven brought me knowing my Mom was in a safe, welcoming place, while allowing me some much needed "time off" was priceless.

This was their first time having it in this location and everyone said they liked it there so much better. They had more room for vendors , voice actors and actors and food trucks. Luckily it was a cool day so I could cool down in my pleather. Santa Maria Con gets two thumbs up in Z formation. They let military, and first responders in for free. Other cons need to step it up. There is nothing like an $11 corn dog and an $18 funnel cake! We went on Wednesday and waited an hour to get in for a $1. Good times!
