We were there on a Thursday night, where Kevin was there hosting DJ trivia, which we signed up and played (came in second). It was fun and perfect timing as we ordered some food which took about 40 or so minutes to come up. The staff was super nice and friendly. A gentmen made me an amazing margarita! There areas through out the front to grab beverages ranging from water to canned mixed cocktails. The food was your basic "bar food" nothing fancy. Everyone seemed enjoy there sandwhich, we shared some apps, loaded nachos, loaded tots and buffalo chicken wing dip.

The precautions and social distancing were appropriate outline for my choosen exercise class of Cardio Dance on Saturday morning from 10 am- 11 am. As you arrive you must wear your mask, check in and provide your name and contact information and select your spot by on an orange circle. My friend and I enjoyed the class, instructor was easy to follow, just wish the sun wasnt beaten down on us as hard. I would recommend if its sunny to bring a hat, only reason for it not receiving five stars. Cardio Dance @ Larkin runs through week of Sepetember 7.

This year (2025 Xmas season) the 100% of the donations collected will go to a charity by the name of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Worthwhile cause for sure. Well this is an amazing neighborhood where over 300 houses get together and decorate for this holiday event. They even supply a map of the best route to take to be able to see everything. It runs from Thanksgiving night until New Years Day. The event is free but there's spots along the route to make donations. Each year they give the donations to a different organization. We were seated by a window and had very good service. I ordered the French Onion Soup and a BLT sandwich. The soup had a delicious cheese topping, but way too much bread. The BLT was well prepared but the fries weren't crispy, which was disappointing. Our server was very attentive and the ambiance was wonderful. The star of the show here is the view of the water.

The Buffalo Yacht Club is at the foot of Porter Avenue, just before you'd cross the Peace Bridge into Canada. We had a family dinner and lunch the next day while overlooking the harbor and waterway that divides Canada from the US. Yes, that bank of land? That's Canada right there. I giggle because growing up in Buffalo, many of us never thought of Canada as a foreign country; we thought of it as "the next town over." In these times, the club is a little short-staffed; that just gave us more time to mix and mingle and enjoy the view. One of the oldest yacht clubs in the country, founded when Lincoln was President, pretty cool.

He was always so proud of being a member. This particular hall is large and very clean, including the rest rooms. The bar for this event was serving free beer and pop. You could purchase mixed drinks for a nominal fee. The bartender was quick and friendly. The setup worked well for the meat raffle. The space can also be used/rented for other large gatherings. I recently came back during the annual poinsettia display and enjoyed walking around to see the variety of poinsettias and other plants. They also had an art exhibit featuring portraits of heroes of horticulture. Overall, I highly recommend to both locals or anyone visiting the region.

The entire staff is top tier; they pay attention to detail and make sure everything is perfect for your big day. The owners are the sweetest and purest people I've met. Marilyn and her daughter-in-law Mary made the process easy as heck for us. Sarah and Lisa were our day of coordinators and they were beyond amazing all day and night. Everything I was looking for in fall activities!!…read more I came across this place on Yelp, through suggestions of friends looking for a place to pick pumpkins straight from the patch. It's one of the activities I enjoy doing most in the fall, and have grown disappointed with other farms as the years went by and their popularity skyrocketed. This place is fairly under the radar - a bit of a drive even past the attractions in Clarence, but I've grown to love Akron lately and so I (of course) didn't mind making the journey. In fact, I loved this place so much that I brought my family back here the very next day. Akron Acres is a part of the Kelkenberg farm family. I haven't been to their namesake farm, but if it's anything like Akron Acres I'm sure I would have an absolutely amazing time. Activities here during their fall season included a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, and things like pony rides for the kids. The hayride is $12 and you're allowed to pick any pumpkin you want from the patch (even the biggest one you can't carry) - they also had combo ticket prices if you wanted to participate in some of the other activities here. Sadly we went during a wet and rainy weekend, so I had to miss out on the corn maze BUT the farm animals 10000% made up for my FOMO. Oh yes, there are dozens of farm animals roaming about! Most notably, we saw ponies, a large draft horse (not sure what breed they are? but they are HUGE), pigs, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and of course GOATS. There were also BABY GOATS and they were absolutely ADORABLE, one of them tried to eat my clothes. Made my life complete. You can also buy an assortment of other things while you're here, not just tickets for fun activities! They sell pumpkins and gourds if you don't feel like going out to the patch - they also have Indian corn and corn stalks, hay, among other things. There's a food stand that sells kettle corn, maple cotton candy, and candy apples. You can also shop a super cute country store here, with all sorts of goodies - I ended up buying a delicious smelling candle that they were burning in the store while I was there. Needless to say, there's a ton of really fun things to do while you're here, both for kids and adults. It's a bit less well known than some of the other pumpkin places in WNY, which is why I ended up liking it so much. Both days we went, it was pleasantly busy but not overly crowded. There is also "The Gathering Barn," which is where weddings are hosted - and from the pictures I've seen online, it sounds beautiful! All in all, we had such an amazing experience here that we're going to be back in November for their Christmas trees! Can't wait to return!!
