The owners are incredibly communicative, and they are in the building during the event. They stopped by a couple times to take care of the garbage and check in. Checking in was easy and it was a fair stay for the time being. Heads up you have to pay for the breakfast and the bar does have limited hours but it is overpriced. Rooms are very clean and it was an absolutely cozy state for what it was. I recommend stopping at the grocery store nearby or one of the fast food establishments just to save a few bucks. Drawers would open when you walk by. The door to the bathroom opened out and hit the bed. The nightstand will tip over if you press on it weird. When we got the room, they never asked us if we wanted the room cleaned. We assumed it was automatic. I guess you have to ask for a full clean or tidy. We asked for it on a Sunday, and housekeeping never came so I had to call the front desk and go down to get towels. There is a complimentary breakfast every day. The food is decent. The woman working the breakfast is very militant. She yelled at me for using glasses from the room for juice even though it wasn't me. And one time she yelled at me when I was the only one there for leaving a paper plate on the counter waiting for my English muffin to toast. One time a family with kids and a pregnant woman came down five minutes before closing and the lady was so rude to them. I can see if she didn't put out more hot food, but most of the stuff is grab and go anyway. The location is awkward especially with all the construction on I-94, but it's a pretty centrally located spot. The road to get to the hotel is terrible.

I paid $234.41 for a1 night stay (9 hours) for a broken room, the breakfast made my son ill and when asked for a refund of $104.00 (the amount I was charged again) because I paid GOVX (Aka member services,- military discount) $130.00 2 days prior. The hotel acknowledged they received be $130 payment, but somehow cannot find the $104 Mastercard payment! The management is Midwest lodging group. I'll never stay with Marriott again! Total disgrace that a single mom, military vet, being charged twice! A chip approval code for a Mastercard means they ran my Mastercard. Scammers!

This experience restored my faith in IHG. This property is clean and comfortable. I loved the outdoor patio dining. The front desk was extremely helpful. The concierge was so kind. I asked her where the closest ice machine was so I could have a drink on the patio and she got it for me instead. It's the little things! The bed was super comfy. The room has a lot of storage, and everything was cleaned well which I deeply appreciate. It's located right behind meijer and multiple restaurants and shopping.
