If my husband was (honorably) discharged from active duty this last December, how exactly is he supposed to have more than a year's employment with his job?! Way to punish a veteran for serving in the military and not working at his now current job for the last year...

The next day I call back to get the loan but the loan officer say that we do not qualify base on our self employed and income. Our credit is good standing so far and she keep blame it on her assistance that she is overwhelmed and is still training. Good excuse but sound not right to us. This is the second time we went to get a loan it's piss us off. I call the loan officer and have ask her all the questions why she didn't do her best job and making sure to go all over our tax return before pre-approval to us but she kept blame it to her assistance. Her assistance is on vacation oh well this lender the loan officer is bad and never apologize to me. The loan officer is bad and have good excuse blame on to her assistance and bad service.

We made an offer, it was accepted, but just 2 business days before the closing we were told that we got denied. We had no inclination that something like that could even happen and were assured that it would go through just a week prior to closing. To make matters worse we were moving from out of town and had already rented out our other home and had to move even though we had nowhere to go. The broker spun one story after another, none of which made sense. We also had to pay for an appraisal prior to being approved. So we were out almost $400. He kept telling us we would be able to get approved through another company, but would have to pay for another appraisal. The company refused to refund the appraisal fee. I consulted another broker and put an application in with them. We were approved without any problems and we closed (a month later) without any hitch - I didn't have to prepay anything and there fees were way less. I would not suggest anyone use all credit mortgage for anything.
