I would give 10 stars if I could! Very reliable, showed up on time for the estimate and repairs. Had a leak in our roof and wanted a general maintenance to reset some loose tiles and replace a few broken ones. Gave us a very fair price. A few weeks later during a rain we noticed a small leak on our porch in the same area as the initial repair and he sent someone over and had it fixed at no additional charge. I found him and his workers to be honest, hard working, professional and does not try to nickel and dime you for every single item. He guarantees his work and does not ghost you if you have an issue. If there is additional work that might require more money, he will give you a heads up in advance. Luckily, we ended up not needing the additional work done. Hey I have a ladder, I've been up there, it's not DefCon 1, my family is not in danger. Scott didn't try to hustle me, which I appreciated. Diogenes can put down his lamp, we found an honest roofer. And licensed! Always hire a licensed contractor and pull a permit. Go to CSLB.ca.gov to be sure. (My kitchen installer let his license lapse. I told him sorry I can't use you. He offered a big discount. Um no.) And AmPro installed a "cool roof." Yes that's a thing. The shingles reflect more UV and absorb less heat than a conventional roof, which lowers the temperature of your home just like wearing light-colored clothing keeps you cool on a sunny day. Genius. Also got something I always wanted, even more than a pony: Whole House Fan. These things are truly helpful in so many ways. AmPro sells QuietCool, one of the best products of its type. Scott (owner) came to the appointment early and on time. Showed him where the leak was located in my house. He got up to the roof and located where the leak was originating. Unfortunately it was under the solar panels so he told me he couldn't touch it since it was electrical. First impressions, Scott was straight forward, honest and friendly guy. I asked him hypothetically if there was no solar panels what would be his estimate to repair it and it was in line with what a roof repair cost would be. My roof, while it never leaked, was 49 years old so it was way past due. Scott helped us chart a path forward and we were able to do more than we had planned. He was able to "re-set" our existing concrete tiles so we didn't have to buy new tiles or shingles. American Pro installed a new roof on my house in 2021 and I had to call them for help recently after a tree trimmer broke a tile and end cap off my roof.
