Great service BUT several hidden fees not posted online and told about on the phone. I booked online and received a call to verify all information. They charged my card for a completely different amount and said "I'm sorry you weren't informed" even though I had an invoice with a different amount. I actually wrote a bad review, but am here to edit it. I talked to Lenin, the owner on the phone. He explained they were booked and used a 3rd party to take my reservation. After sharing my experience with him, he said he would no longer partner with that company and offered me a refund I felt comfortable accepting. We was also sincerely apologetic. From one business owner to another, I KNOW that he truly cares about his reputation and providing a valuable experience. We attended a wedding over the weekend in Miami and it included quite a bit of transportation to the pre-functions and wedding. American Transportation was very prompt, the vans were very clean, and the associates quite nice. Orlando was one of the drivers and was very professional and engaging. Mary Prato Santo, in coordinating the schedule for pick-ups, was always helpful, eager to please, and responsive to any changes or additional needs. Mary far exceeded our expectations and was always 'on top' of our events to ensure all of our guests were taken care of promptly. I wanted to take a moment to express how completely unhappy I am with the service this company provides, or maybe I should say doesn't provide. I booked two events with them 1 month apart. The events were for my daughters 15s celebration. On both occasions the company canceled my reservation and claimed they were having mechanical issues with their vehicle. I get the impression they may of double booked the vehicle they promised me. 830am pickup Emails came in saying driver is on the way Call to see where he is, 5 minutes, than 5 mins pass nobody comes. Call again and it's about 20 minutes away now. Driver never showed up, and no phone call was ever made to notify us until we checked. When emailing office for driver info, nobody even responded. Not only that, they are very expensive. My review is long overdue. I have used this service for my little one for her bday last year October. The driver was on time, party bus was super clean and nice and our chauffeur Roberto B., was soooo nice and totally awesome. Especially to be in a bus with a bunch of 6 and 7 year olds, he was sooo funny and sweet. The way he assisted every little girl off of the bus as if they were all princess' was adorable. We rented a party bus for our wedding day. The bus was very nice and came prepared with ice. The reason it's two stars is because of the driver. He arrived late. His driving was terrible--everyone was literally falling all over the place because how he drove. Then he arrived at the end-location 30 min early. Based on other reviews, it doesn't seem to be everyone's experience, so I'd say it depends on the driver. We definitely did not get the experience we paid for. Update: I've added a star for the professionalism and prompt corrective actions taken by company. Again, the bus was pristine, but the driving was the issue. Doesn't seem to be the same experience for everyone. read more

Horrible experience. We booked our limo 6 plus months before but the night before our wedding we were told the limo we had booked had mechanical issues. As an alternative, they contracted a limo from another provider which I dont think it was ever inspected or cleaned prior to our pick up. The limo was extremely old, dubs for rims, and fogged headlights. It was in an absolute terrible shape. This was the worse part of our wedding day. Aside from the limo looking horrible the driver put the wrong address for my venue which caused us to get 30 minutes late to our reception. We had to extend our photographer, DJ and venue for one more hour because of the delay which it came out to nearly $900 more out of our pocket. When I called to complain about the condition of the limo and driver arriving late they told me the driver had complained about some water being spilled. I asked them if they were serious, after everything we had gone through. I then told them that I was looking to get reimbursed for the extra hour I had to pay the venue, DJ and photographer and so they told me all they can offer me was 25 percent of what I had paid. I told them I will not take less than what I had to pay my vendors for the extra hour. After some going back and forth the manager said he would reimburse me the entire $400 of what I had originally paid. I told him we were still short of about $500, he said take it or leave it as they were not willing to give a dime more. Well I accepted the $400 but I can tell you that I will never again use their service or recommend it to anyone. Their mistakes caused me to pay more for something I didnt cause and the limo was the worse part of our wedding day. Wish I could give them zero stars but Google doesnt allow it. Save yourself the headache and your money you will end up paying more at the end or will have a terrible experience. Love the excuses but the luggage was already in the limo. The chauffer did not make a wrong turn. She took us 15 minutes out of the way which when she turned around guess what it was another 15 minutes. That's 30 minutes I could have been taking pictures at the venue and everything could have gone as planned. As an owner you should be ashame. It's so ironic that you dont explained the condition of the crappy limo you sent us. read more

Second time using American Transport. Used from MIA to ship. All went very smoothly on first trip. Driver met us in airport helped us with bags and escorted us to van. This time was pick up from Ship back to MIA. Would have been 5 stars but driver communication was a bit challenged when we got off ship. Driver didn't initially respond to call or text. When he did respond by text it didn't provide pickup details. Port is chaotic which is not driver issue, but driver wasn't able to give us a pick up spot. He passed us once due to port police not allowing him to pick up outside of designated location. Van was very nice with short trip back to airport. We booked two transports, one for my wife and her bridal party to get to the venue and then for the two of us to get to our hotel that evening. Their prices beat or matched every other company we looked into. Their communication (specifically Mary in our case) was phenomenal. They respond to calls, emails, and messages immediately and it seems as though the entire company is aware of what is going on with your reservation. The day of the event, they let us know who would be our driver and their number hours before the event. They also provide continuous updates via text and email. One could not ask for a more competent, caring, wonderful person! She was a dream to work with and immediately instilled confidence. My bridesmaid Aileen found this wonderful company for my wedding day. We upgraded the bus a day before the wedding without a hitch. Customer service was great! The gentleman driving our 27 passenger bus was such a sweet and hospitable man. He offered us all water and greeted everyone politely....even the late ones. We used their service to take the grooms party to the church from the hotel, return to the hotel to pick up the bridal party, and back from the church to the reception.
