My case was based on the Diversity Visa Lottery, and due to the limited number of such cases, many attorneys are not knowledgeable about them. Processed N400 app with the group: Highs: - Application did approve despite attempts to derail, possibly USCIS IO took pity for 20+ years of my service. - 1:1 session with lawyer was informative Lows: a) Quality of service degraded significantly once money was paid. b) Crucial case start emails went to spam, causing long unnecessary delays. There are times when authentic emails land in spam, but in this case emails actually looked suspecious - coming from unknown sources and signed suspciously. c) Despite instruction, case review was bypassed. They just mailed the document without checking mistakes or letting me review before closing the envelop. Felt a confidence trick was pulled to extract my signature before hand. d) Given that N400 app is pretty straightforward, plain english form and has youtube videos on how to file it, $1000+ is bit excessive. They filled forms as to continue dependence on lawyer services, even when detrimental to the case. Landed me at odds with USCIS when IO asked where is your lawyer at the interview, and there was none. For N400, USCIS prefers candidates without lawyer. e) They forgot to complete certain parts of application(traffic violation, addendums etc). Was scrambling at 11th hour researching how to fix the issues, all by myself. Office didn't even bother to reply emails. read more

I married my wife in December 2019 and needed to file for a green card. But as resourceful as I am, the process required a lot more paperwork than I thought and the filing fees USCIS charges were not cheap. So knowing even one mistake or missed piece of paper may require me to re-file (and repay the fees), I needed an attorney. I asked a friend of mine if he knew anyone, and he referred me to Hasan. My wife and I met Hasan in January 2020, then agreed to hire him for his services to complete/process the initial filing. They simplified the process for us by providing us a list, then followed-up with us until they got everything they needed for a successful filing. Naturally, the COVID-19 pandemic hit our country 2 months later and that delayed our application with USCIS. Enter July 2021, more than 1.5 years later, my wife and I finally get scheduled for an interview. During that 1.5 year span, I must've communicated with Hasan and his team a dozen times regarding timeline and what actions we should take (i.e. like whether to renew the Advance Notice/Work Permit). They responded within a day nearly every time. Before our interview, I hired him again to help us prepare for the interview itself by putting us through a practice interview and testing the consistency of our answers. Then again to be with us during the interview (mostly because we're Asian, and with all the anti-Asian sentiment, I wanted a witness to ensure fairness). There are a lot of lawyers out there who will sell you perfection and lie to get your business. It is HARD to find an experienced AND trustworthy attorney. I had questions regarding a complication with a green card for a relative. Mr. Abdullah's firm was recommended to me by a trusted friend. He listened to our problem and recommended a course of action I didn't think of. It gave us a pathway to resolve our issue while waiting for the USCIS to do their part.
