I am reading all this 5 star reviews and all of them seams suspicious to me to be true. Where did you see "the client love his attorney?" It is very rare, but every single review just "raving about love and appreciation for this lawyer"...And usually bad reviews would not be published or asked to be removed... Well ...maybe someone is happy, but it wasn't my experience. 1.5 years ago I also read all those reviews and felt like I should give a chance this firm to represent me. It looks like this firm can not spell correctly and it cost a lot of money to me, lots of aggravation, misrepresentation, stress and feeling of harassment. In my case there were several costly misspelled errors: 1) Initial contract - wrong hourly fee I hired James Cai and at the first initial contract he made a mistake and instead $400 p/h he wrote $200 p/h fees for his time. After we both signed the contract he said, he made a mistake, and asked could we resigned another document for $400p/h. Seeing my hesitation he said "Oh, ok, I will charge more time then", which was very funny to hear, saying that "the time will be manipulated" to make up the difference, and sounded unlawful. 2) Misspelled service person name: After several month past I didn't hear from J.Cai, but worked with his assistance. Then was a silence for awhile and I thought James was too busy and didn't work on my case and I was busy helping Ukrainian refugees. Suddenly I start getting a bunch of high invoices and I couldn't believe this, I thought it some kind of mistake. Issue was that assistance misspelled the name of the person who served, and after 25 emails back and forth to correct the name and address the high fee for the mistakes were charged to me. 3) Defendant name misspelled J.Cai misspelled defendant's name and for 8 or so months we were getting papers from the court stated " Mismatched defendant's name"; Case is closed due to mismatched names"; But law firm kept filing again and again the documents with misspelled defendant name. 4) I refused to pay high unfair invoice, saying I am not going to pay for someone's mistakes. I requested to fix misspelled errors and only then I would pay agreeable bill. But J.Cai quit without any warning of phone call and filed a motion to release him for non-payment ( and defendant's name was still misspelled). It was upsetting, and scared to stay in the middle of the lawsuit without a lawyer, but judge was supporting me and asked " Do you really need a lawyer who can not spell ? Even this documents for the motion to release was filed incorrectly". 5) The file "non-payment for the invoice" created the situation when lawyers see the red flag and now to hire a new attorney retainer is $20,000 which I can not afford and have no choice but represent myself in the court and stand up to 2 lawyers. 6) J.Cai drugged the case so long with all misspelling issues, and jeopardized the entire case. He never filed a lien against the collateral house and now it is a big loss. It was only one opportunity to get my money back by filing a lien on the collateral house. Even I asked multiple times to do so, he never done it. 7) Miscommunication and no communication at all. I worked with a few lawyers over the time and this is the first time when I have had almost no communication with my lawyer, but very expensive invoices. I will keep J.Cai responsible for the misrepresentation and damaging my case. I retained SAC Attorneys because I had an ex-partner that ordered two hundred thousand dollars worth of material using my license and contact information.
