Having initially gotten a quotation from Empire, we had a bit of a sense of what to expect in the sales process. Overall, the company did install great carpet and LVP in my home and were quite quick to do so. The installers helped to confirm my LVP was being installed in the direction I wanted and worked quickly, completing the jobs in a few hours. The only reason I didn't provide a 5-star review was for the reasons below: 1) Our sales representative was fine overall, but wasn't the fastest in responding or when I inquired about potentially putting a different pattern of flooring (e.g., planks placed in herringbone), he mentioned he had seen it, but didn't really offer it as an option. 2) The installation team left quite a bit of dust/shoeprints throughout my main floor in getting to the basement. Most other contractors in my home always bring drop cloths to avoid this. 3) We had just had our other contractors complete painting of the walls the previous week and after the installation team we had quite a few marks/scratches on the walls, some spanning multiple feet. 4) When the LVP team showed up and realized they didn't have enough materials, they asked me where they should leave unfinished - I feel like I shouldn't have been involved in the process. I paid for a completely floored basement, I shouldn't be involved in picking which areas are left undone. Still, Tim, their installation manager, did reach out after I reported the issues and was very gracious and willing to either schedule teams to come out or compensate us for our trouble. While I was able to resolve the issues above myself fairly easily, so didn't take him up on his offer, the fact that the company offered it was something I very much appreciated as all contractors will eventually run into issues, but it's how they respond that really makes the difference. To say the experience we've had has been bad would be an absolute understatement. We are still…read morewaiting for 50 Floor to finish a carpeting job in our home that was started over 3 months ago. The combination of poor communication and service, lack of attention to detail, and straight up incompetence has been shocking. There is no point in scheduling a time of arrival or window. No one has ever arrived at our house anywhere close to it. When they do finally arrive, carpet installers show up unprepared, and by the result of their work, unqualified. The work has been shoddy and has had to be redone multiple times. A mess is always left for us to clean up and we have been stuck with staples multiple times, as have our kids. An installer arrived at our house only to realize he didn't have enough carpet. In another instance, an installer inexplicably sliced up our carpet thinking he was installing a runner. They either don't follow instructions or they are given bad instructions from their managers. In any case, they have proven to be grossly incompetent. Couple that with rude/unprofessional behavior, which has made us all uncomfortable, and it's been a total nightmare working with these people. The non-installer employees/managers at 50 Floor haven't been much better. Over the last 3 months, we have made no fewer than 20 phone calls attempting to schedule service, leaving voicemails that were never returned. On other occasions, we successfully scheduled dates for service only for them to never show up and/or never call to explain why. There have been multiple no-call/no-shows. When we attempted to address our complaints with customer service/management, they responded dismissively or not at all. It is clear that the leadership of this organization sets the example of abysmal customer service that everyone else follows. Do yourself a favor and avoid the nightmare of hiring this company for your carpeting needs. We're still hoping our nightmare will be over soon.

In this context, although it was a massive project, he worked tirelessly to ensure that it was affordable and 100% in line with my specifications. As many of you likely know, vinyl products come and go; meaning, if you bought certain flooring several years ago, it is highly unlikely that it will remain available from the retailer or the manufacturer. Such was the case for me, where I'd purchased vinyl flooring from Lumber Liquidators over 4 years ago to renovate my office. I was hoping to get my hands on more of it this year to use for my large entertainment room. However, I ultimately was not successful despite pouring a ton of effort into reaching out to LL/the manufacturer. Naturally, it should come as no surprise that I consulted Jon to help me out. I brought a sample of my prior flooring into the store and worked with Jon and his team to look at several different products that could potentially match. Lo and behold, after pilot testing several different swatches, I was finally able to find one that was most similar to what I was looking for. However, it was amongst the most expensive of vinyl offerings at the store. Moreover, it was not readily available at the local warehouse, which by default makes the price even higher. Jon understood that I was in a bind, and this was the only product that would work for me. He pulled some strings to get me this wide-panel luxury flooring product at a VERY discounted price that I am 150% convinced could not be beaten by any other retailer. He helped me procure 600 sq. ft. of the product while remaining within the limits of my initial budget, despite it being a significantly higher end offering. Had I purchased it at cost, it would have been almost twice the amount I was looking to spend. Long story short, Jon is a huge asset. He will do everything in his power to take care of his customers. He values loyalty and is a fantastic resource for long term flooring solutions. You can consider it a given that I will be working with him again once we decide to work on the master bedroom!!

Disappointed. We had Levis 4 Floors lay carpet years ago at our current residence. I was told it…read morewould be a 2 - 2.5 day job. The installers that showed up moved some furniture, but my wife and I moved the majority of it. My goal was to put screws down into the sub floor boards for the squeaky areas, but the guys that came out moved so quickly that I did not get time to really put a few screws into the boards. The guys moved so fast that they said there goal was to get all of the carpet installed in one day. Needless to say we moved most of the furniture ourselves to keep up with them installing. I did not get to fix the squeaks due to their hurry to finish. It only took about a year to start to see buckling in parts of the house because they did not properly stretch the carpet. Slowly but surely ALL rooms in the house started buckling with areas as high as 1 - 1.5" in about 4 areas of the house. It got to the point we could not tolerate it any longer so we had their tech visit this summer to stretch the carpet. So here we are just 3 months after the visit. I have the same areas starting to buckle again, and a couple of new areas buckling. I think I made a mistake using this location for installing our carpet. I cannot believe this is the product and service we received after spending several thousand dollars. So the carpet looks bad still and let's just say the floors squeak even louder since I was not given enough time to fix them when they installed. I would Not recommend this place.
