This review is for the horrible customer service, on multiple occasions from KATHERINE at the Hyannis location of Amerigas 508-775-0686. Being a new home owner, I called with some concerns of a gas smell coming from my stove and was just treated completely unprofessional by this Katherine person. It was almost every time I called. Thankfully, the second time I received a young girl (N). who was also completely DISRESPECTED by Katherine in the background because she didn't know the answers to some of my questions. I could hear the older woman ridiculing the younger (N.) while I was on the phone! It was very uncomfortable. I honestly thought it was a prank of some kind. I am not taking this angry and volatile woman's harassment personally because it appears that everyone she works with is uncomfortably aware of her attitude problem, as the poor and very professional repair man that came to my house actually apologized for Katherine's "attitude" and the rude messages she left on my voicemail letting me know of his arrival.
Now all of this, I brushed off. Until today when I called to finally end my services with Amerigas. Thankfully again (N.) answered my call, but once again, she did not know the answer to my question of can I drop off the old tank off myself rather then having to wait the 6-8 weeks Katherine quoted me for them to pick it up. (N.) put me on hold to find out why I couldn't drop it off as I am in the construction industry and know that I absolutely can, just really wanted to know where, who gets on the phone but Ms. Kathy, she picks the phone right off of hold and greets me with,
"Hello Tonya Harting?"
um.....the notorious ice skater?
She proceeds to laugh and exclaim,
"lol- I don't know where that came from."
Pretty shocked and offended, I did offer her some advice as to why she may actually be the ugly and bitter person that she is, and why she thought it was appropriate to address a paying customer that she had been rude to in the past an offensive name of a notorious felon.
I canceled my services and am now done with them but feel bad for anyone else that would have to deal with KATHERINE. Yes, I am a customer service manager and view customer service as a lost art, so maybe my standards are too high, but we live in a small town where people, know people and talk etc. Katherine's behavior should be completely intolerable my management and to us as a society in general. I hope she does not extend this level of service to any older people etc. because it is borderline harassment. If her manager reads this and would like to talk with me more about his disrespectful employee, Chris, please feel free to contact me and maybe you can bring some clarity to this issue, because with you, Joey and Nicole on your team, Katherine's work ethic is only bringing you down. read more
