The instructors and sensei are friendly and decent teachers, but it does not make up for the classes being way too overcrowded. They do have one instructor that stands out. His name is Joshu Rob. He's basically the face and personality of the school and teaches most classes. He's great and he would be the only reason I send my child there. BUT....KEEP IN MIND THE CLASSES ARE OVERCROWDED and its very disappointing.

After 8 years i was critically injured in the line of duty and retired on accidental disability. I am now close to 70 yrs old,a great grand father twice over with several heriated discs and spinal stenoses and as an ex heavy smoker ,i have emphazema.i just hit the 8 year mark of quitting. Although i am breathing better, i had expected better.even though i am in still pretty good physical and mental health,i get winded easily and at times have difficulty gettin a "second wind" I am looking to further my spiritual and physical connection with another softer style of martial art.due to a severe head injury sustained as a nyc correction officer in 1989,losing my balance and eye hand coordination,which over the years ,has resolved. I do have copd and am looking for an art that can help me breathe better, help my physical conditioning. And protect myself, as senior citizens are often targets of violent crime.tai chi was reccomended but im not interested in it. I would be interested im something more like wing chung. There is ample cardio equipment as well such as ellipticals, stair climbers, hand bikes, cycling machines, etc. The owner Phil is very knowledgeable and treats you like family. His knowledge of excercise science is second to none. He runs a tight ship and any trouble makers will not be allowed to return. The complete lack of riff raff and friendly members make this an ideal gym for the professional. There is never a wait for a machine or bench. Staff is friendly and professional. Has a parking lot which is nice. I can't recommend this place enough.
