Not a good defense to count on when you're being stalked by a homeless tweeker stalking around at night preying on women, breaking into their homes, burglarized them and watching them sleep. My ex was targeted by such an individual whom later turned out to be the son of a local business owner. This individual started out stalking my exes neighbor. A graduate student from florida working for the USDA. Nothing was ever done about homeless individuals whom would loiter at night trying to peep in windows, stash stolen bikes, and loitering in the entry way and urinating on the steps. Neither the landlord First Property Management or the police cared. This continued until the graduate student got so scared she became convinced her neighbors were responsible. When I made the mistake of asking her out (im very ugly and have been told i look like a drug addict) she responded by calling the police, the landlord, and my employer. She leveled my life in 24 hours. Wrong guy. Months prior id seen an individual leave her apartment in a hurry. Id believed he was one of her many flings. He looked scummy, homeless, strung out. His name was Justus Buckels. I don't think she knew he had been in her apartment. She must've assumed it was me and was terrified to realize someoen had been in her home. A Local burglar with an affinity for scaring women. Years prior id actually met a girl whom had met Buckels, deacribing him as "unable to get it up unless the girl was struggling and crying. Ames is a small town, and Buckels is a local whom was once a football star tuened drug addict whom has allies in high places. After the florida girl moved and had me evicted and fired. I found myself with noplace to go but the local shelter. There i met some of the individuals whom had been skulking around at night. A few claimed to know the girl i asked out. I believe they had been stalking her. There context of knowing her didnt seem honest. Several were associated with Buckels.​ The police did nothing about the stalking, the death threats, or anything. In fact they forced my ex to come out and discuss things loud enough for Buckels to overhear. The entire time he always had a heads up when. The police were coming, as if he had friends on the force. Enter Julie Shraeder. She was supposed to be our savior, instead she immediately chose sides. My ex was poor and autistic, naturally there was a bias against us, first woth the ignorant graduate student, then with Justus. See, Justus is half Hispanic and according to witnesses (former victims) he uses the race card alot. He would even provoke and gaslight soemoen into calling him a slur by addressing them as one first. He also had his cousin Caleb living with him, always lying and covering for him. Things escalated when he tried to enter her apartment many times, always jiggling her handle to see if it was unlocked, just as he had done with the neighbor girl. (I really really liked her and what she thought of me was really important, he destroyed my life and the police helped him). He would punch walls, prod the ceiling below us, all night and day, hardly ever stopping for more than a few hours. He didn't seem to ever sleep, he was up all night and day. He also had a bias agaisnt my ex for being obese, he claimed every step she tool was a personal assault on him. He escalated to getting friends involved (gangstalking) setting us up to look like fools or crazies (gaslighting) and then eventually abusing my ex every time she'd go outside waiting for her to deliver a death threat. Still no help. One day Julie actually called me at work to tell me we were "not to contact the police unless he was killing us and we were bleeding to death." The ames police answer to money, buckels comes from money, so did the graduate student. They also have alot of small town conservative bias, so if you're autistic, gay, or different in any way you'll lose against a local, no matter how evil or notorious they are. The only people who will tell you Justus Buckels is a good guy is someone who is an associate of his. Any of his victims will tell you stories about how monstrous he is, how insufferable and how he burned them and ruined their lives. The police go along with this and blame his victims. Julie kept accusing my ex of provoking and antagonizing him. Funny, many days id come home from work to find her bawling her eyes out wishing he'd stop. God that made me angry. The University of Iowa police is better, they will actually listen. The local police are all local jarheads with a strong conservative bias, there's a few that are decent but most are dismissive and insensitive. (All locals hate outsiders, even the students) Anyhow, finally. Buckels threatened my ex in front of her mother. That was the end for us. He destroyed my relationship and drove my girl away.
