I bring in the clear bags they will provide, {sometimes they can be on the sticky side}. Always double check the eligibilty and count for accuracy and provide them with a written count of cans, plastic and glass. Just a little prep beforehand, and it all goes very smoothly. I have been using this location for several years and never has they guy given the correct $ for my returns; he cheats you and moves the cans before you can ask for a recount. He is truly a nasty person and since there are few other recycling locations that take beer cans; you are stuck. I always walk away pissed . After reading the reviews I was anticipating a bad experience but it was totally fine! I walked in with a huge trashbag of cans and a gentleman kindly directed me to the tables where you need to sort your cans into 24-can trays. It took me about 15 minutes and they had a radio going which made for a friendly atmosphere. Once I had all my trays plus some extras I calculated the total then a guy came over to count and he nailed the number in like 5 seconds. I walked out with the cash. Recommended. read more

This was a terrible experience ....... i was told to load my cans on a tray and count them....... as I'm loading trays I ask him why he doesn't count them and he said it was not his job...... I immediately took my stuff and left.....initially he ignored me when i arrived....doesnt speak english that well either read more

Convenient drop off, I have never had any problems with my counts. When I bring in my items, I'll place on a tray and write the count on paper and on the box. Then when I arrive, I immediately tell them the count. This way I have it both written and verbal. I don't let them tell me the count because I want to know how much money to expect when I leave, to avoid getting short changed. The interior isn't beautiful but I don't expect beauty or attractive decor. This is a bottle/can redemption center, not a beauty salon. Be sure to count your items, mark the box with the numbers in a big black market, then hand them your counts. It's best to sort by type also. Dropping off here is much easier than doing it yourself at Stop & Shop, which most often is broken or full. Plus you have to fight for a decent parking spot at the supermarket. Here, you don't and generally plenty of parking. read more

This is a redemption center, plain and simple. It's not meant to go to before a nice dinner or an evening out !! Always count your own and when you leave you probably will want to wash up a bit. Parking can be a hassle if you have a lot of returns. If not easier to just park on street. read more

You'll notice the ratings for this place vary widely, with not much in the middle. Some people say it's convenient, some say the guy who runs it is miserable. I've experienced both. I've caught him in a bad mood or something when he decided to get sharp with me and be a bit rude - fortunately, I maintained my composure. My advice - have your stuff organized, do your own count, and try to figure out his system. The smoother you make it, the smoother it will go. It still beats waiting at the supermarket for someone to empty a filled bin on the machine, or having it not recognize the brand your returning. read more

unless you are incredibly organized with your cans & bottles and have hundred upon thousands of them - I wouldn't recommend this place over any local grocery store that has the machines.... or just using your recycle bin. the bf & I saved up our bottles and cans since we moved up to the area last October, thinking it might be fun to cash them in on a rainy day and catch a movie or something. We brought 12 trash bags overfilled with cans & bottles. When we walked into the redemption center, the woman asked us if they were all separated in the bags.. we said no. who has two seperate bags at home for cans and for bottles? oy. So she gave us the lovely task of going through all 12 bags and separating them accordingly. (at that point I wished we just went to Stop & Shop and did it there - it would have been just as fast if not faster) ... then I noticed that she began counting everything manually... REALLY? manually?? who knows if she counted correctly or not. I couldn't believe it. Overall we got $24.50 - NOT worth it especially with all the labor we put in - I thought at a redemption center they did it for you.... no wonder they seem to be a dying breed. If we were to do it again, I'd just go to my local grocery store - especially so I could use the machines to be sure I was reimbursed correctly. read more

Make sure you count your can's there, don't do what I did. I counted all my cans at home. I had 18 bags, each with 3 cases in it, which should equal 54 cases, at $1.20 per case, should have come to $64.80, plus I had a few loose bottles. So it should have been over $65.00. He gave me $51.00. I told him he counted wrong and to prove I had what i told him, that I would count them again there, but he had already took and opened some if my bags, so I couldn't do anything to prove he cheated me. I told him in front of other people that it must be nice to cheat people all day, because if he did it to me, you know he's cheating others. Be warned. read more

It is hidden down a driveway behind a little house, but it is a quick and easy way to redeem your bottles. The guys that run the place are quick, friendly and efficient. This is a much better way to redeem your bottles than standing putting bottles one at a time into the machine at the grocery store, especially seeing those machine push half of them back. They take all redeemable brands, when the grocery stores don't take all the brands. If you live in the area it is worth driving over and bringing your cans and bottles here. Definitely five stars. read more

This is a great place. The guys are pretty cool.

The man who runs this place is one of the most miserable human beings I've ever encountered. Every time I drop off there he has some negative remarks about how things are stacked or sorted or arranged. He's even contradicted himself (one time he wants things one way, the next time he says NOT to do it that way). Today he yelled at me at how things were arranged while I was still sorting and stacking (he wanted everything standing up but I wasn't done yet). When I told him I wasn't done yet - he said he knew, but everything should be standing up (so clearly I wasn't sorting the way he wanted as everything in the shopping cart had just been dumped out of a bag). Maybe he's not happy unless he's complaining... but his attitude takes something that should be stress free and makes it stressful. read more

I always thought I had just counted incorrectly when the man told me how much. I have 2 small children and I know sometimes I am not paying attention. The last time I went, I had my older son help me count and we figures out how much money we would get. He shorted us several dollars, but I really didn't want to argue with my kids there. I will never use this place again. They are stealing your money. Please beware! read more
