Amazing, and so patient with each child. The classes? Worth every penny to see the kid's faces come recital weekend. The facility? Always clean, regardless of how many people are inside. The owner? A great person. There are many different classes offered for all ages. Ballet, tap, hip hop, acro, lyrical/liturgical, musical theater, combos...even ballroom dancing classes for adults! The studio is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and like a fine wine, it just gets better with age!

This is a lovely venue. I can't believe I've lived here over 20 years and never been. This year the…read moreFab Faux performed there instead of where we usually see them. I purchased first row mezzanine which is where we prefer to sit in most venues. I don't care for orchestra where I can not see over the person in front of me. So I was very surprised when we found our seats to see just how far back the mezzanine is, and that the orchestra seats are graduated upward so there is no one directly in front of you. The show that we saw is not big on visual, but the acoustics are phenomenal. The Fine Arts Center allowed this music to soar. For future shows though I would sit closer in the orchestra. Prior to the show there was a party on the plaza with desserts, live music, and a cash party. A fun way to start the evening, thank you.

The space itself is big, with several areas for different classes. All of the equipment is frequently inspected and maintained- when any tape gets worn on an apparatus they remove and repair it. They have extensive policy written up on inclusivity, diversity, and safety - all of which is available for anyone to read on their website at www.showcircusstudio.com. 2) Their teachers care about their students and are highly trained circus professionals. Many of them went through the professional track program at the New England Center for Circus Arts, are members of the professional circus organizations, and are active in furthering their circus education and training both on their own and through the studio. They go through monthly staff training as well as additional off-site trainings to constantly improve their skills and give a high quality, recreational circus education for students of all ages, body types, fitness levels, skill levels, races, economic backgrounds, etc. 3) Show is a recreational space. They don't expect you to do back flips when you walk in the door or even after your finish classes. You progress through a carefully planned out and studio standardized curriculum and are going at your own pace. This means you aren't forced through a leveling up system, but take a class until you're ready to move on to more advanced skills. In this way, your only competition is with yourself. 4) If other reviewers think the space is dirty and poorly organized, I recommend going in and checking out the space for yourself. Chris, the co-owner, does an amazing job of organizing the space along with Henry, the other co-owner. The lobby is GORGEOUS and the studio itself is perfect for recreational circus skills - vibrant colors, clean, and rigged to perfection for easy changes between classes. I'm very impressed. I highly recommend SHOW to anyone, especially to the LGBTQIA community - as SHOW and its staff are strong allies to the community. I wouldn't feel safe in a gym situation and I've never felt unsafe at SHOW. I cannot speak highly enough of them and my experiences with the studio.

Honestly, I'm grateful. - The instructors that I met seemed like nice folks. - Taking the driver's test, on the cars that students practiced on, in Amherst, with PVDS easing us through the bureaucracy, was well worth it. (Nice that they have a fleet of hybrids.) - Their support was especially valuable, when the RMV road test examiner entered another dimension of reality, after returning to the parking lot, having completed a perfect test. After we saw my son pull up and stop in front of us, the examiner instructed my son to do a weird maneuver, and then seemed intent on failing him for it; the senior PVDS person, in the back seat, politely opined that it was not an clear request. Weird lecture and scolding ensued, but test was passed! He could not have stood up for himself credibly in this situation, so I appreciate this support.
