It's by far the nicest looking doctor's office I've ever visited. As for Dr. Garg, my previous review remains true and today's visit only solidified my opinion. I don't feel awkward saying I love Dr. Garg. That may seem like an exaggeration, but if anything, it's an understatement. I am eternally grateful for the aid he has provided, and continues to provide, my wife and best friend. It took years to find a doctor with this level of intelligence, education, warmness, trustworthiness, and empathy, but Dr. Garg makes all the searching and effort worthwhile. He's more than just my wife's pain management doctor. I consider him my friend.

Yes it can be frustrating to reach his office or to get a return call and sometimes it takes 2 or 3 attempts. I also plan on 15 to 20 minute wait in the lobby before getting back into the exam room. But that said I have never felt as comfortable with a doctor as Dr. Malsch. He takes time with the patients instead of rushing in - having to look your name up on his chart and then hurrying along. that goes a long way in care and one of the reasons I am willing to drive 40 minutes for an appointment with him

The last time I tried to call for an appointment, I had to call back three times before anyone answered (all calls were made during office hours). First, the gentleman who answered told me that my record couldn't be located and Dr. Malsch was booked that whole week and Dr. Zarro might be able to take me, however I had to wait for Joannie to come in later that day and she would call me back. I never heard from Joannie (whoever that is), so I called back that afternoon and asked for Joannie. She got my record right away (so it wasn't lost?) and let me know that Dr. Malsch was on vacation but Dr. Zarro had an opening at the end of the week. Unfortunately, I didn't have the patience to suffer with my sever sinus infection for a few more days so I found another doctor who got me in the same day. I will truly miss the care provided by Dr. Malsch, but it's so refreshing to go to a practice where everyone treats you like a human being.

You just have to keep calling and hoping you hit a day the schedule is open. Tough to do if you're working during business hours. They are taking new patients, but don't have time to schedule existing patients. Other Penn Med providers allow scheduling through MyChart, including getting on the waitlist. Everything is documented and they follow up with alerts for openings. Not this practice. I'm looking for a new provider.

I have had some challenging conditions for which he coordinated my treatment between several medical specialists. He diagnosed a very rare blood cancer. Most other doctors have never even heard of it. He always returns calls promptly. Always on time for your appointments. His physicals are thorough and he meets with you when finished to discuss his findings. I could go on but the fact that I've been his patient for so many years shows my confidence in him. I have always found the office staff to be attentive and very friendly. They know your name when you arrive and always ask about your family.

Previous to this place, I used to have Chestnut Hill Family Practice as my primary. I was never happy with CHFP between the long waits and poor communication. Finally when I moved to Wayne back in the day I switch to this place, so I could have a more convenient provider. Best move I ever made! Unlike other providers, they have you get your blood work done before your yearly physical. This way your doctor has your results in hand when he conducts your physical and he can focus on any concerns the blood work may have revealed. Other places (like CHFP and where my wife currently goes) will do your blood work after your exam, and then you never hear from them. I like the way the doctor takes his time with me here. I love the short wait times too. It takes me 25 minutes to drive there from Chestnut Hill, but it's worth it. I remember waiting much longer than that, multiple times, at CHFP to receive inferior care. I highly recommend this place. Oh, another benefit with heading out there is parking is easy.

If you need a referral do not ask the day before. They act as if you are asking them to donate an organ to you and they will not guarantee the referral will be there the following day. They insist you leave the information on their referral voice mail line. There is no such thing as customer service anymore. It's all self serve. Pretty soon they'll be leaving instructions for us to do our own mammograms and draw our own blood.

Parking is in a private lot at the rear of their office building and it's free. The Rev. has some standard chronic health issues - cholesterol, blood pressure. He for many years primarily saw Dr. Stallkamp, whom he liked very much. Dr. Stallkamp left the practice a year ago to go into research, which initially made him sad. Then, he met Dr. Lytton. I can honestly say Dr. Lytton saved his life. Furthermore, she is the ONLY doctor that has gotten through his thick Southern skull to where he's finally enacting some serious lifestyle changes. You see, the Reverend is indeed a fully grown Southern man. The four basic food groups of the Southern Man would be fat, salt, meat and sugar. This is why so many Southern men don't get to be people "of a certain age". Despite years, I mean years, people, of cajoling, nagging, begging, yelling, refusing, etc, on my part, this man would not make changes in that diet when things like the cholesterol and the blood pressure and the weight started to go awry. I have snuck more Splenda and Boca in this man than he realizes in the name of true love. Still, the car would be full of soda bottles and fast food wrappers and when left alone, it was fry an egg in butter and bacon grease time. It didn't help that his compliance with taking his medicine to help control these things was spotty at best. That, again, despite my best nagging and cajoling and such. You may think I'm an ineffective nagger. I am not. He is just as stubborn as a jacka**, so in him I feel I have met my match some days. When he doesn't want to do something, good luck getting him to do it. Even denying him my 'feminine wiles' failed to change him. That's DEFCON 5 nagging, people. Years with Dr. Stallkamp, as great as she was, failed to enact change. That doesn't mean she wasn't a great doctor, she was and is. She just could not get through his thick skull. It took Dr. Lytton taking over his care, taking a good look at him and putting him in the hospital because his BP was so out of control then sitting him and I down together and giving us not only a stern talking-to but recipes, guidance on food choices, and yes, encouragement to get him to change. This man in 8 weeks has subsequently lost 18 pounds. He eats mostly vegetarian. When he goes out he looks for good choices like chicken grilled vs. beef. Yes, on Easter he smoked a brisket for the family and he had two pieces (and yes, it was mighty good) but that was it. He has grilled pork chops occasionally. He rarely drinks soda. He has not missed a dose of his medications in two months. He looks better, feels better and actually is doing that on his own, making his changes. So, yeah, the staff may not always be pleasant. Dr. Lytton does present as a little flighty and scattered and odd. Don't let that fool you, the woman knows her stuff. When you go there, you have as much time as you need with the doctor, not 5 or 10 minutes. Lastly, they care. Dr. Lytton has called at 10 PM and on weekends to give test results and to talk with him and to check in on him. Is the practice perfect? No. The staff is rude. Sometimes you wait (like that never happens at a doctor's office). However, I'll take rude staff and sitting in a waiting room all day long when it means a longer life with my love. Wouldn't you?

I have had nothing but exceptional care from her and she is always friendly, professional and very responsive. The office team are also very accommodating and will always go out of their way to make sure that you get an appointment, or get into Dr.O as soon as her schedule allows. I highly recommend this practice and think they deserve ALL of the awards for their work!
