I loved racking up the points and getting my $5 discount once a month. Ha The store has a variety of products and is the central supermarket for the Meadowbank area. The prices are reasonable and the fruit is fresh. The sales assistants are always helpful and the shelves are always well stocked.

I like that though. It's a neat kind of chaos. Some of the more unique items they sell are sprouted bread, coconut yoghurt, kefir sachets, fermented vegetables like sauerkraut, unpasturised 'beauty' milk, and fresh nut paste (you make it there). They also have a huge selection of seeds, nuts, dried berries (goji and blueberries amongst others), teas, natural herbs, flours and tinctures, the lesser-known grains like red quinoa and buckwheat. Celiacs with love this place - they have gluten free pastas, gluten free cake mixes, gluten free cereals - you name it they probably have it. A good selection of organic ice cream and frozen vegan 'meats' are also available as well as a selection of skin care ranges like Weleda and a good range of natural soap. They have a small range of organic fresh fruit and vegetables outside. I'm not particularly fond of my produce lying beside a car park even if it is organic but when organic bananas are going for $1 each I'm inclined to buy. The ladies are really helpful and there is a naturapath and herbalist available for free advice also.

It's a small store, but is absolutely packed with health foods and health supplements - some of which actually look well worth eating despite their purported benefits! It's the source of all my homemade muesli ingredients, though I rarely leave without being temped to add something new to my basket - the last was a tic-tac like pocket-pack of pure organic liquorice. Now that was a taste experience! And of course all the staff look suitably organic.

It was a bit pricey and feel the açai bowl needs to be improved, not sure what ingredients are used but possibly less coconut water and maybe adding a frozen banana would help make this guilt-free snack tastier. I brought my own containers and the woman behind the counter weighed them for me and wrote the tare on them. I was able to buy most everything I needed in bulk here, which was really exciting. I bought organic red lentils, organic rolled oats, organic popping corn, and a little jar of raw organic cacao. The total for that shop was $36. I went back a few days later to buy some organic acai powder. I bought one of the little jars from the shop, which was really handy. I love the concept of this store, but there is a downside. The products are much more expensive than their packaged counterparts from Coles. I filled a little jar half way with acai powder, and it cost $15 (plus $2.50 for the little jar). The bulk bags they have available are $5 each. I am happy that bulk is becoming more accessible, but with prices like this, we still have a long way to go to make it accessible to the public - it will be hard to convince people to give up plastic in favor of bulk food when it's so much more expensive. Nonetheless, I will continue to shop bulk as much as I can afford. I believe in voting with my dollar, and bulk food stores with organic foods is where its at!

So along I went to Go Vita on Marrickville Road, who stock the Tresos B PluSe in lots of different sizes. I got a jumbo jar of 150 tabs for about $70. The great thing about Go Vita is that you can become a member for free and then get discounts every time you shop. They also send emails and text messages about special days in the month where if you shop on that day you get a whopping discount, sometimes 30-50 per cent. The staff are extremely friendly and always make conversation outside the shop transactional talk. They also recommend other products they have available and give free samples.

Rude, unprofessional and untrustworthy trader. The…read morefollowing is my awful experience with the trader: About 3 weeks ago, I visited the store and bought 2 bags. When I left the store, 1 bag was leaking. when I put it on the ground, it broke. I collected its contents in another bag and left. Subsequently I made 3 further visits and bought 3 other bags. 2 weeks ago, I emailed the trader seeking an order of 15 bags/ month. The trader agreed and emailed me the order will be ready in the first week of may and I need to pay for the first week at the store. In 1 May. I emailed the trader to enquire about my order. The trader refused to honour our agreemen. Today I emailed the trader that I'll never buy any product from their store again due to their dishonest conduct. Subsequently the trader made false statements in reply to my negative review of its store. My post is just a warning to potential shoppers that this trader is a rude and dishonest person.

The store is quite large and offers what you would find in most of their stores along with more like a cafe, pizza counter, bakery and deli counter which aren't available in all their stores. The store also offers a large cosmetics and Health & Beauty section. While the section looks amazing it's missing the personal touch that's offered in pharmacy and beauty department stores in terms of service. The sections are well stocked but should you need advice it's not available or on offer. The store is definitely easy on the eye and there are plenty of self serve checkouts and checkout counters to get you in and out in a reasonable time.
