Drawers did not line up correctly after delivery and we had to fidget to get them aligned properly. Not that big of an issue and not a deal breaker. But, that's when we discovered some troubling quality assurance issues which were sadly the nail in the coffin so to speak which results in both pieces being sent back for a refund. It's completely unacceptable to pay such a high price for furniture and have every single screw miss the rear support spars (you can see the points of the screws missing every spar in one of the pics). There's some basic math/measuring that should simply not occur when buying this supposed quality level of furniture. Also not sure why each piece had odd markings/marker notes on them. And you can see a piece of the backerboard was crushed. Again, where's the QC? We had waited anxiously for them and was sadly disappointed. For those who are sensitive to smells/chemicals, I'd also suggest leaving them outside after delivery since they ship them off as soon as they're built. This results in quite a bit of off-gassing. Not pleasant to sleep in a room that smells of chemicals. I really wish none of these QC issues had occurred with our delivery/furniture because I really did like them but at the end of day, even I.kea furniture has better QC.

Then this year we contacted them again for another curio cabinet, this time in a different configuration. And once again they customized it so all three pieces of furniture match. This company is amazing to work with, are very responsive, and create furniture that far exceeds my expectations. As I was traveling, I decided to drive there and commission it in person. Dealt with Barry, looked at samples and provided measurements. An excellent experience and easy to communicate with during the process and follow-ups. However, when it arrived, the dimensions of the sliding glass was incorrect enough that they needed to be replaced. This is where The Wood Loft shined under George Fritz, the owner. He made it right, no issues, no complaints just a can-do attitude and a zeal to make me happy. He did it in spades. The cabinet wasn't inexpensive but worth it. It constantly displays a rotating collection of my collection of European and US military handguns dating from 1907 to 1960. This is all other businesses should strive to emulate George Fritz.

We really liked the two-tone option so choose that for the table and chairs. The items took longer than we had been told they would. When they arrived, the salesman came alone and we had to carry the pieces into our home ourselves. The first piece was unwrapped and to our total surprise, it was not two-tone. The saleman said the two-tone "didn't look good". That should have been our decision, and we should have at least been notified prior to delivery! Since the work is not done in-store, we wondered if the Amish doing the staining had even been told that we ordered the two -tone style. As a final insult, the saleman charged us $99 for delivery even though the earlier quote had been "about $50" and we had to unload and carry the pieces from our driveway up the steps to the front door. Very disappointed at being blindsided. We thought we were ordering a truly spectacular dining room set, that's not what we got.
