I…read morealways love walking into thrift stores and seeing what people have discarded, only to be rediscovered by someone else. As soon as you walk in you realize this isn't your average thrift store. The store is well laid out, organized and has that fantastic smell of used gear (but in a good way); it all brings back good memories of the past. They have a good assortment of records (yes vinyl is making a comeback). And they are dirt cheap; mostly costing less than a buck! I picked up two records and it cost me a toonie. How great is that!! The store shelves are organized in a great way, great friendly and inviting owners, wonderful jazz music was playing in the background, housewares, books, clothing, toys, electronics and even furniture were available to snap up. Be careful, walk into Junk in the Trunk and you'll be walking into a time-warp that you may not want to leave.

On a previous visit there, we had spotted a handmade birdhouse that we planned to send as a gift for a family member's birthday. When I called and enquired about stock a few months later, that particular one wasn't available. They offered to get in contact with their supplier and try their best to track one down for me. They took my number to stay in touch and kept me updated every step of the way. We're so grateful for the effort they put in to helping us track down the perfect gift! If you are ever in Bragg Creek, I highly recommend stopping by at the Trading Post and checking out all the local and handmade products they stock
