I purchased my home here in Palm Coast, FL on Oct 18, 2021. I met a lot of contractors to do the work, and finally chose to hire Jose Collado (AG Construction aka AG Pavers) after doing a lot of research for the best option. Since I was new to the area, I relied on past review history and am so glad I hired Jose. Check him out on home advisor/Angie's list. His crew and work staff were timely, respectful, and did a very good job. He oversaw quite a few projects: Pavers - patio, porch, side, and pathway around garden (completed October) Flooring entire interior (completed October) Interior and Exterior Painting (completed October) Master and Spare Bathroom updates (completed February) Lighting throughout house (completed October) Kitchen /laundry room renovation (completed February) Lots of other little add-ons were also done, I can't begin to list them all! The few delays we had were due to delays in receiving bathroom and kitchen cabinets, but workers were super at planning around it. When I look back and consider what was becoming a new norm - all the crazy supply issues, and ability to even find good workers, I am amazed how blessed I was to see it all get completed within four short months. Jose's crew began work 10/20/2021 and had it all done by February! Jose was a great communicator and easy to work with. He helped oversee an excellent group of guys who all worked to make my Palm Coast house a "brand new" and cozy home. These guys are honest and work to complete satisfaction. You won't be disappointed if you hire Jose.

Just a couple weeks after…read morehe finished the work we noticed that the fence was already falling apart and that he had not even fastened the brackets holding the fence together with screws or nails. Many of the top cross pieces on the arbor sections have fallen off. Most of the fence sections have pulled away from the posts and will need to be replaced. We spent $20K on this fence. When I contacted Jacob a couple weeks after he finished the job he said he had moved to Florida and that I should call another fence company about his shoddy work. I would not recommend his company. He did a terrible job and then left town.

To cut to the chase, we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of Ruben's work, with his knowledge and professionalism, and his friendliness throughout the job. Our rating is 5-stars, a definite keeper; we will call him again next time. The list of work at our home included the front sidewalk and curb, a large tile patio, patio screens, backyard PVC fence, eaves and fascia, and stepping stones through the yard. He made it look new. He has since washed the pool screen because of the algae build up a few years ago and this time we asked him to do the whole house. He made it look like it was just painted, taking away eight years of outside wear. He is consciencious, making sure my plants were wet down first so the product he was using did not affect them. Then afterwards he re-wet my plants to make sure they were safe. One of the main things I like about him is his ATTENTION TO DETAIL. He washed not only the walls, but also has a machine to scrub the travertine around the pool. This was unexpected but gratefully appreciated. Ruben Cortina is the ONLY ONE I would call.
