Dr. Kimes is a stellar example of what all doctors should strive to be! He is patient, understanding and compassionate. He takes time to personally review your history, answers all questions and values your feedback. Before I found Dr. Kimes I had all but given up that I would ever be successfully treated for my chronic pain due to my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome... I had completely lost hope for the future. Other pain management doctors I had seen in the past either would not treat my condition, offered me treatments that weren't even useful for my type of pain, or worse- treated me as if I was a criminal or a drug seeker. Dr. Kimes was so different! He got me into see a proper Physical Therapist, immediately got me the braces I needed and beyond filling my medications... he offered me unique and innovative treatments that I had never been offered in the past. I feel as if I am truly in good hands with Dr. Kimes and I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Even though I have to live with my chronic pain, at least I now know that I have someone in my corner to help me through it! I cannot recommend him enough. Yes... his office is busy, and he clearly has his hands full. But you will be hard pressed to find another doctor of this caliber anywhere else.... so it is totally worth the time you will spend in his office.

I have been ill since I was a child and growing up with pain is never fun. It's also never fun when you're young and trying to convince doctors you're in pain. It's easy for them to jump to conclusions. I've seen multiple pain doctors but none that tackle the body and medicine in a manner that Dr. Ding does. I have always believed that eastern medicine is an amazing tool and can do great things, why else has it survived this long, and western medicine helps to fill in those gaps. Too much of either can lead to trouble though. Having someone who can feel the pain I feel and truly believe my struggles is the validation I have yet to get and wanted for so long. I don't have to prove myself here. Dr. Ding is willing to work with me and, together, work on a plan to get me off the medication I have wanted to be free of for many years. I have seen the results and know it will take time, but I feel incredibly blessed to have someone who I believe can get me to that point. I have to add that the office staff, Hanna, is very professional and friendly. Plus the trash cans there are really nice. I was told by the Surgeon & staff I would have immediate relief from the pain. Right after surgery I had to be sent to hospital that i'm still trying to pay off now. Since surgery my pain has been much worse. I've had 3 MRIs. Dr McWilliams saw my comments on yelp & reach out to at least try to help me. Im so grateful for that. I have been a Summit Spine patient for several years and have generally been pleased with my care,…read morebut my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed and concerned. At my follow-up appointment with Dr. Gabriel Marrero after a lumbar epidural injection, I explained that the procedure had actually increased my pain for several days afterward, sometimes to the point that I could barely walk. While physical therapy was providing some relief, I continued to experience severe pain radiating from my lower back into my left hip and down the back of my leg, particularly around my knee. Based on that discussion, a second lower back injection was scheduled for two weeks. Ultimately, that appointment was moved to a later date. A week before the procedure, I received a call from billing informing me that insurance had denied authorization because the order submitted was for a neck injection. This made no sense given that my complaints and treatment had consistently involved my lower back. I was then asked to contact both my insurance company and PCP to resolve the issue and refer to the physician notes which I have no control over, despite having a valid referral already in place. After multiple phone calls, a supervisor finally explained that the wrong procedure code had been submitted when the appointment was rescheduled and assured me the error was being corrected. Unfortunately, the confusion continued on the day of the procedure. After arriving early, I was informed there was little documentation regarding the correction and had to recount the entire situation yet again. Following additional communication with the office, I was told the code was being corrected once more. When I asked whether anyone had confirmed the discrepancy with Dr. Marrero, I was told that he stated if I wanted the injection in my lower back, he would perform it there. That response raised even more concerns. If his notes truly indicated a neck injection, why would the procedure simply be changed based on my preference? Why did the documentation not match the discussion we had during my follow-up visit? Was this a documentation error, or were notes carried over from a previous visit without being properly updated? Ultimately, I canceled the procedure and left. Between feeling rushed during my follow-up appointment, the conflicting documentation, repeated administrative errors, and the apparent uncertainty surrounding the procedure itself, I no longer felt confident proceeding. My greatest concern was whether the physician was fully prepared and operating from accurate information. I am deeply disheartened by this entire experience especially since Dr. Marerro is usually very attentive and thorough.

I wish Dr Weaver would hire a practice manager and staff that respected appointment times and answered the phones!
