In part, it inspired my decision to take advantage of the free K-pop dance classes offered by Rae Studios in the Civic Center Monday and Tuesday evenings. I'm so thankful to Sassi and Andy who teach a fun class open to all levels. I'm very much a beginner, am always made to feel welcomed and included, and am always impressed at the enthusiasm and skill in teaching the choreo to everyone at a wide range of experience levels. My joy of being a San Franciscan is buoyed by K-pop offered to us all by Rae Studios. Pinkies Up!!!

They take the time to look at you, what you're doing, and help you learn, adjust, and get to know your body more. I'm an unlimited member, but the $25 per class (or whatever it is), is the best way to spend $25 in San Francisco. Not exaggerating. Jess is such an experienced coach. She moves like water. She watches your body, and understands how it works. She makes hands on adjustments. Being in class with her - I truly feel like I'm with a professional-grade artist. Power Barre is a must, for any dancer, any fan of Pilates, or anyone who just wants a lean, toned dancer bod. And Pop Jam is so much fun. I've also taken Jazz Funk with Tashi, which is the BEST way to start a Monday. It's beginner friendly, but you learn technique. She's fun, lively, hilarious. Every single person is beaming when they leave her class. Drenched with Anna is also a pleasure. She's a delight to watch. A true athlete in her flow. It's a real workout! Belly Dance with Andrea was a surprise to me. I had no idea what Belly Dance was until I took this class. As it turns out, Belly Dance is like a mix of Pilates and Booty shaking. I didn't think I could move so precisely, but Andrea is such a good teacher, and so good at explaining the moves - I believe she can teach anyone how to Belly Dance. She has a thorough understanding of the history, the culture, and the artistry. Hip Hop with Mahi - the most energetic ball of fun there is. She's effortless. Drenched with Diamond - another great workout, and a delightful way to spend a Saturday morning. I love to take my girlfriends and get brunch in Union Square afterwards. Also, the Rae Studios Showcase was SO much fun. You get training in how to perform as a group. The adrenaline is intoxicating. There are people who do four per season, is how fun it is. How many opportunities in life are there to perform? Rae Studios makes this accessible to everyone. The world is tough right now. We could all use a little more dance and light in our lives. Check out Rae!

That's the sign of an employer who cares about both quality and equality of service to customers. It's well worth the price knowing that you are investing in one of life's best activities, and will quickly launch you out on the dance floor of the myriad Bay Area ballroom floors and club venues you never knew existed. The lessons are most efficient if you do find some places where you can dance socially and put in the practice miles. Guaranteed fun and friendships. AM also has a monthly calendar of classes and events that are included with lessons. Great exposure to dancing with other students and teachers. Thanks Jim, for being my perfect AM instructor and helping me launch a comeback to Ballroom with humor, kindness and a laser attention to detail. It tells clients that you care. Much appreciated!

That's when I met Andrew, the instructor who would guide me through this unexpected journey. From our very first lesson, his patience, skill, and encouragement helped me begin building something I didn't know I was capable of: confidence. As the weeks turned into months and the months into years, I've not only learned to dance -- I've learned to express myself, to push past fear, and to embrace joy. But Arthur Murray has become so much more than a dance studio to me. It's a sanctuary. A place where laughter echoes louder than doubt. A space where I've formed real, meaningful friendships and become part of a community that celebrates every step, no matter how small. Yes, the cost of lessons may seem steep. But what I've gained -- the confidence to move through life with rhythm and self-assurance, the friendships built on shared vulnerability, and the joy of dancing away life's heavier moments -- is truly priceless. This studio has not only taught me how to dance; it has helped me rediscover who I am.

I was excited to check out this studio, as I always like varying my fitness routine and trying something new. I arrived a bit before my friend and spent an embarrassing amount of time searching for the entrance, but I eventually found my way. The instructor, Kriya, was very welcoming, and the atmosphere felt friendly and inviting. Once class began, we spent a solid chunk of time warming up and stretching. Then Kriya led us through a variety of moves, some of which I'd seen before, and a short choreography routine at the end. I definitely felt a bit rusty on the pole, but I was happy to see that I've gotten stronger since the last time I took a pole class, as climbing the pole felt almost effortless. I'm really happy my friend suggested taking a class here together, and I look forward to popping in again as my schedule allows.

She was very sweet and the space was comfortable and clean but I left feeling kind of negative about myself and proud of her, rather than feeling sexy and confident about myself and where I'm at. Will try a beginners pole class again at another studio or with a different instructor.

They are the best of the best! When I first started with DJ I was slightly worried because I had had chronic knee problems and I didn't know if I would be able to achieve my fitness goals or if that would further injure my knee. He is extremely knowledgeable and tailored my regimen to help me achieve my fitness goals without ever provoking my knee. If anything, he has made improvements to it because he is able to apply physical therapy practices to improving it along the way, and he taught me what adjacent stressors were causing pain in the knee. I have been working out with him for a year and a half now and I am in the best shape of my life. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Your paying them to balance you, and push you, not break you. They know the body and how not to hurt you. So many idiot trainers will either push you to the point of breaking and hurting Or don't know body mechanics and hurt you. They also have some sweet amenities. 1. Big screen TV 2. Great screen savers 3. You can pop in for a quick cardio session if their not too busy 3. Don't Use trendy bullshit. Most of the work is you using your own body. They do have great equipment but is very select and designed around you using your body to work the machine, or bench or use the moon shaped leather bags from Romania?? NOT the other way around. 4. Jack Lalaine is rumored to haunt the studio 5. Great PC screen savers. 6. They smile and drink Cofee as they work your ass off. That's so sweet. 7. You get what you pay for.
