Candle not included with our order

Was exploring the area with my partner and saw other people coming out with the gelato flowers from this place and wanted one too haha Came inside to a somewhat busy gelato parlor to which I thought this place must be pretty popular! The interior gave off this clean, old fashioned, classic ice cream parlor which is pretty neat! My Spanish isn't the best, but the staff was very understanding and worked with me on my order. You can pick up to 3 flavors which is pretty cool. The gelato flower is so aesthetically pleasing to look at! The flavors were very rich and creamy, it tasted as good as it looked! And the best part, is that it was pretty affordable. Definitely a great treat to have while you're walking around the wonderful city of Madrid :)

    Mango and berry fruits: excellent!

Excellent gelato! Pleasant surprise especially in the tourist zone. A little expensive but open late and very satisfying. Will definitely be back!

While strolling through the maze of pedestrian walkways and narrow roadways in Madrid, don't miss the stellar gelatos at Amorino. The strawberry and lemon variety are exploding with flavor and perfect to cool down on a hot summer day. This was the best gelato we had in all of Spain.

    Many flavors to choose from!

Yummy- this ice-cream is a tasty treat - sort of a blend between gelato and sherbet!!! Most importantly is exactly what you need to cool down your body after a long day in the very hot and stuffy aired Madrid!

Pistachio gelato with a raspberry macaron

Friendly staff; patient with my spanglish. I tried the coffee and pistachio gelato and a raspberry macaron. They delicately place the treats on top. Beautiful! All reasonably priced and I even got an espresso drink for less than $3! I was shocked. Quality flavors - complex and mouth watering.

Bias alert! By the time I found this Amorino location I had already fallen in love with the gelato from Amorino so there was no way that I was going to pass up stopping here. Everything was as it was hoped for - no lines, good service and good gelato. This time I chose just one flavor - hazel nut. My only regret was buying a medium instead of a large. I recommend trying their gelato.

I ordered the Stracciatella gelato, and it was delicious! This place is clean, fast, and the tasty. The service is great as well!

Vegan options marked with a V! Love it!

YUM!!!!! This was my first European gelato, and I was praying that it'd be everything that I thought it would be! IT WAS! I was salivating upon arrival while looking at the case of delicious gelato, and was overjoyed to see a plentiful selection of vegan options, clearly marked too! I sampled a couple of flavors and instantly fell in love. I decided on a cup with half chocolate sorbet, half lemon sorbet. Odd combo I know, but something about bitter sweetness and tart paired together gets me every time. I digress, this was fantastic. The lemon was zesty with the perfect level of sweetness, and the chocolate had the most desirable amount of bitterness to it. The presentation aesthetic was just as outstanding as the taste! The cones were delicately assembled to resemble roses. Gelato that looks like a flower?! Literally heaven. This place is a MUST!

Strawberry and mango. Nice and refreshing

Pricier but yummy. Not only is it presented nicely but taste awesome. Area is busy so if you are looking for somewhere to sit and relax come

    Mango and strawberry gelato

There was a wide selection of flavors. It is on the pricey side with the small cup costing a little more than four euro. If you want to come it is an additional euro. The fruit ice cream is definitely not a sorbet but is not as creamy as others.

We stumbled upon this most delicious ice cream store and couldn't ignore the line that was weaving it's way outside. We joined the queue thinking it would be quite a wait but they handled the crowd very efficiently and we were placing our orders in no time. The selection and presentation of flavours was divine. All four of us chose different combinations - I settled for coffeee and vanilla. My sons chose sorbet flavours including banana, mango, lemon and raspberry. Watching the staff create the layered masterpiece was incredible. Each ice cream resembled a beautiful looking flower with multi colored leaves! The flavours were amazing. The sorbet flavors blew me away - so deliciously real! A perfect way to finish our night out!

We ordered the Speculoos (in photo) and Nociola gelato. Tasted really really good. But a bit pricey for 1scoop of ice cream for 3.60eu

Vegan flavors (including chocolate) are the reason I came here. Photo-ready rose shaped ice cream on a cone makes it even more worth it.

Based on the definitive opinions of travel vloggers, this appeared to be the place to get the fabled chocolate con churros. Jamie W and I made our way here through the labyrinth of streets near Puerta del Sol. It was early evening so no surprise there was a queue, but it moved quickly because this historic place was a model of efficiency. It's the type of place where you need to be ready to order the moment you're in front of the hostess. Luckily, we had made mental notes of what to order from one particular vlogger, so we were ready. It only took a minute to secure one of their marble cafe tables. Our order arrived fairly quickly. It consisted of a 2,5€ plate of Churros, six long sticks of chewy, delicious dough. Unlike the Mexican version, it wasn't dusted with sugar because the 3,7€ cup of Hot Chocolate was more than enough (Photo 8). Incredibly rich and only lightly sweetened. The churros might've been enough for a neophyte, but we double-downed with a 2,5€ order of two Porros (Photo 7). Porras are a thicker, doughier version of churros, so of course, they were our favorites because they really held the chocolate with assurance. Even though we went through two cups of hot chocolate, we still had 2,4€ cups of Cafes con Leche to wash it all down (Photo 10). It was an ideal dessert experience because who doesn't love awesome doughnuts? Definitely a must-gorge when in Madrid. Don't get me wrong - they do indeed have a whole bunch of food vendors that all looked extremely good. Some of them were tourist-priced (ok, a majority of them were tourist-priced), but none of them looked *bad*, just not *necessarily* worth the price, when you could go any number of places nearby and get food as good, for cheaper. But there were definitely some hidden gems, including one absolutely wonderful tapas place that we ordered a bunch of little tostas from, of all different sorts, that we were absolutely impressed by and happy with all of. And of course, the vendor I had originally been most excited about, La Hora del Vermut, which does indeed offer both very inexpensive, great "house" vermouth, and very affordable fancy vermouths. I would've loved to hang out at a bar like that... if I could do so and also *move*. See, the thing is... this market is absolutely not big enough for all its accolades. As Yogi Berra may or may not have ever said, "No one goes there nowadays, it's too crowded." At least I probably wouldn't ever go back there... we could barely hear to order tapas at the tapas place, and good luck finding a place to eat if you're not taking it to go. Good luck actually making it to one of the vendors further away from the entrance, either. It was an absolute madhouse, so we ordered a bunch of tostas at once, I braved the insanity to get a couple glasses of vermouth and met my wife outside the actual market to eat them on the steps. And that was the *off* season - if it's like that in January, I could only imagine it in May! Great vendors, but as a market, they really need better crowd management / foot traffic control.
