The greenery was beautiful to look at as well and she even stopped and took as many pictures as we wanted! She helped build my confidence to let my horse canter towards the end of the tour and it was awesome! She let us tell her if we wanted to just walk, trot, canter, etc. based on how comfortable we were! It was also so nice to see that the horses were able to roam free almost and had no stables. They had a lot more freedom than I'm used to seeing when I've done horseback riding tours in the past. I would high recommend this tour!

The reason i stopped going to camp is because this one cit ( not calling any names out) was so rude and called EVERYONE child in the rudest way possible. And the camp lessons are way to under advanced for me and a couple of my friends. Any way those are just a couple of things that bug me. One of my husband's grandsons is named Parker so we were curious and took the road north instead of heading to US1. The park is right north/next to the Riker Athletic Campus -- part of the Palm Beach Atlantic College (not FAU). And I don't think most of the families using this park even question how it was named or care. You can google or go to Wikipedia for this information. When we stopped by everything was so vibrantly green -- including a large grassy "sports" area where two guys were practicing their soccer kicks. The park has many amenities -- both a bike and walking path (paved), a children's playground, toilet facilities and a water fountain. The most appealing area to me was the splash pad. There were some interesting trees with a bit of shade. I especially liked that there were picnic tables and benches throughout so parents could watch their kids. The park is open sunrise to sunset. Glad we stopped to check it out.

In 1987 the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach purchased a parking lot to create a park in honor of founding Chairman Earl E. T. Smith, a resident of Palm Beach for over 50 years. Smith was a civic and political leader who served as U.S. Ambassador to Cuba, Mayor of Palm Beach from 1971 to 1977, and as the first Chairman of the Board of the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach. It is because of Earl Smith's passion to preserve the town he loved that this park was named in his honor and dedicated to him in 1989. Smith passed away in 1991. The parks design was created by project architect Gerard Beekman of Gramatan Corp. It is based on the Garden Club's original 1929 plan for a town square but by the 2000's the park had fallen into disrepair. Sam Lehrman, who moved to Palm Beach in 2012, undertook the renovation of the park in time for the January 15 Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach's 40th anniversary. Lehrman is the founder and president of Lehrco Corp., a Washington, D.C. based retail development and management company. The outside of the park is framed by bougainvillea. The center of the park has a carved limestone fountain that replaced the broken and stained cast stone fountain that was installed in 1989. Surrounding the fountain are benches to sit on. A plaque highlighting Earl Smiths achievements were added and the landscaping was refreshed. Visiting this park is like discovering a secret hidden oasis. What a beautiful place to relax and reflect on the beauty and history of Palm Beach.

Tucked into an industrial warehouse area in West Palm Beach next to I-95 is a park on a historic…read morecanal. Head north and the canal leads to the north end of Howard Park where there is tiny pond that was once the Stub Canal and Turning Basin. The basin served as a link between West Palm Beach and the agricultural communities next to Lake Okeechobee. In 1918 an extension also called a stub from the 40 mile West Palm Beach Canal was created to carry it directly into the West Palm Beach business district. It was large enough for barges that carried passengers and produce from Belle Glade. Boat service started on May 17, 1918. After a railroad line and highway opened in 1925, boat travel fell out of favor and the 1928 Hurricane destroyed the boat docks. Now all that is left is a small retention pond with a fountain. Today you can access the Stub Canal from the 1.8 acre Stub Canal Park. You can take it south to Pine Lake or north to Howard Park. The Stub Canal Park serves as a launch area for small to medium sized boats motorized boats and jet skis and non motorized canoes and kayaks. Once you reach Pine Lake, it is a popular place for fishing where you can expect to catch largemouth black bass, spotted tilapia, bluegill, and redear sunfish. What is really nice about this park is that there is no charge for boat trailers. A lot of boat launch parks charge at least $10 to park or require a city pass. There is no meters here so you can launch and enjoy your day.

This is a great place to host a party and the pricing is very reasonable. You bring the food and beverage and they supply the entertainment. Another super cool detail, the party guests went home with swag bags containing an additional craft and accompanying supplies. Better yet, the parents are done when the party is done. No housecleaning applicable. Much success! The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and did a wonderful job assisting the children with their crafts. There is a unisex restroom as well as an additional hand washing station. One can take a peek through the outside window of the venue and observe the activities and / or party.
