This gym holds me accountable and I love it. The coaches are knowledgeable and personable. They keep me honest and help me achieve my healthy lifestyle. To experience the transformation I've been able to achieve with his help is nothing short of a miracle. Before Eric, the last time I was at a gym, I was probably playing dodge ball with the other middle schoolers. I've never been a athlete, never worked out. I spent most of my 20s and 30s eating crap and drinking way too much. After getting a physical where I was informed that I had high blood pressure and was at high risk for diabetes, as well as knowing that 40 was fast approaching, I finally woke to the idea that I needed to make some changes. And, that's where Eric stepped in. In the last year, I've gone from a very flabby 250+ to a much more muscular 190. I know it only says 60 lbs on the scale, but I know I've lost MUCH more fat than that. I've lost 5+ inches on my waist. I've discovered muscle groups that I didn't even knew I had. People comment every single day on how much better I look. More importantly, I feel better. Physically and mentally. I sleep better. I'm in a better mood. I have an easy time focusing. Blood pressure is down and risk of diabetes is gone! I'm now 40 and in the best shape of my life. And that's all thanks to ANEW Fitness. The way Eric works with you helps you to accomplish tasks that you think are impossible. Through patience and encouragement, he motivates you to push yourself past the point where you think you are done. And, his passion for what he does is evident and infectious. After just 3 weeks with him, 3 times a week, I found myself at the gym on my own. Didn't have an appointment or anything. I just wanted to get a work out in because he made me realize how satisfying it feels to do something good for yourself. Again, I'm not somebody you would have EVER seen in a gym a year ago. I started almost two years ago and the workouts are still super challenging each day. Matt changes things up each workout, so you are sore in a different area each time. The workouts are tough but don't let that scare you - everyone there was once a beginner and at least for myself - out of shape. When I started I couldn't do five pushups on my knees, but now I can do 20 pushups on my toes! The sense of accomplishment you feel after finishing an hour workout is incredible. I sleep better, I feel better, I look better. If you are unhappy with your body and can commit to working out three times a week, you'll see a difference in your body in under two months. The boot camps are creative, scalable to all levels, and fun. The coaching team is super knowledgeable and top-notch. The 45-minute workouts are strength-based with cardio mixed in. They are adaptable to wherever someone is at in their fitness journey. Huge benefit: child watch is included in the membership, and my daughter LOVES coming here. So many fun toys, and the child watch staff takes great care of her. The "floating floor" is a game changer. It makes plyo moves and jumping feel so much better on my joints. I find I am able to do more and burn more calories as a result. The mobile app is great. You can book camps in advance, see who is coaching, and keep track of how many camps you've attended throughout the year. They offer a variety of class times that work for working moms like me. I really hope they add one Sunday class at some point, but otherwise this gym is pretty perfect. As part of the membership, they offer focus meetings with coaches where you can do an In Body Scan and get advice to work on your nutrition and fitness goals.
