Can you believe it! A gas station that doesn't charge extra for credit/ debt cards and has the lowest price gas from Bakersfield to Fresno. Yes, you can now. I started traveling this route regularly a couple of weeks ago along highway 99. Gas stations can be far and wide in these parts. Some will advertise on huge signs that you can see a mile away. However, they can't beat the price here at this station. This ARCO AMPM has a very little sign with little numbers. That's probably why I missed it coming up the first time while passing through Pixley. Just remember exit 120 and you're good to go! It's on the east side of the freeway and the only thing around this exit. Could save you at least 20 cents/ gal! You go Pixley ARCO! read more

There was quite a bit of prominent signage by the side of the freeway as you're passing North along the 99 freeway through Pixley, so I just had to stop and check it out. Or maybe it was the fact that all I'd had for breakfast was a glass of coconut water and a venti Starbucks Cafe Misto so I was in need of both a restroom and some munchies. The banner on the fence says "now open" and there is a sign stating who financed the construction so I'm guessing this location is relatively new. After all that prominent signage I was surprised that the actual Arco sign at the exit is rather small, though what it lacks in size it makes up for in height.. I usually find that gas stations along the side of the I-5 Freeway, which I travel more often than the 99 charge much more for gas than stations in town. Therefore, I was surprised to discover that the gas sold here is cheaper than at most Arco stations in Bakersfield. Bonus. The bathroom fixtures, the toilet and the sink, were very clean. The floor was free of dirt, but there were small piles of toilet paper in two corners of the room making it appear messy. There were two soap dispensers, both full, and a Dyson airblade hand dryer which was quite lovely. The fountain boasted three diet soda options, Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, and Diet Dr. Pepper. Also in the fountain was a deluge plus Pomegranate Berry Vitamin water, but it was hard to tell if that was the kind with lots of sugar in it. There were six different flavors of the Ampm freeze, their version of the Slurpee/Icee. The young girl workking the counter was shy but friendly. She smiled and wished me a nice day, but didn't look up to meet my eyes. This station is conveniently located just off the 99 Freeway at Ave 120 and has easy access both on and off the freeway making it a great pit stop. I didn't pick up gas here, but from experience I know that Arco stations don't accept credit cards, only cash or ATM/debit cards, usually for at $.35 using your card. read more

Extremely dangerous area . A lot of people high and drunk in the parking lot . Loud , obnoxious and belligerent. Having a party in the parking lot kept honking their horns , slamming doors , cursing and yelling . . You may get robbed , car broken into or even killed . Stay safe and don't stop here in this sketchy town . The only reason we stopped here at 5 am was because the fog was so thick and it was very hard to see anything .so we had no choice but to get off of the freeway and park until the fog cleared up to continue on our way to Los Ángeles at 6:45 am went inside of the store to use the bathroom and the women's bathroom was absolutely disgusting!! Toilet seat was up and had toilet paper hanging off of it plus piss all over the floor !! Surely a drunk man used this restroom . I give this place 0 stars . Don't recommend stopping in this town . I don't know why there aren't any police patrolling this area . read more

There are flies everywhere. The bathroom is full of them, it's pretty disgusting & dirty. 1 toilet is out of service. It literally smells like poo out here. Not manure, but human poo. Glad I only needed a few gallons of gas. I would have died just pumping gas read more

Gas prices are one of (if not the) cheapest on the 99 on your way to Bakersfield. Employees are also overall friendly. The reason for the one star off is that pumps 14 and 16 never work when I try to fill up at them and I have to drive around to another pump. They should put a sign on them saying out of order. Aside from that it's the best place to fill up on south bound 99. read more

This place is disgusting!! If you need gas and you're heading north on 99, keep going and get gas in Tulare. If your headed south, keep going and get gas in Delano. I've stopped here twice to get gas and both times my debit card would decline at the pump. Had to go inside to have them run it in there and that's where things kept going downhill. The restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. Had to wait in line behind a bunch of illegals that had no common courtesy. The ones that came in after me kept trying to cut the line. Girls behind the counter were just as bad because they let them jump the line. read more

Just found a hair inside the patty almost used the hair as floss nasty!!! Ive gone to this place before never had a problem with anything but was feeling a little hungry so grabbed one of their spicy chicken sandwiches and let me tell you that patty wasn't all just chicken was flossing my teeth while eating it !!!! I don't know if you guys notice but it can get super packed at this arco,the poor girls cant even catch up to there work which causes stress anger anxiety and long lines and the anger can easily be taken out on the customers,these are all signs of a negligent boss i feel like it should be a concern for everybody that goes in and gets treated poorly or rudely please be understanding put your selves in the girls shoes,The boss does Not hire new workers often and its usually always only two workers. Theres so much to do and being a location out by a lot of dairy and field works sights this place can be a safety haven for many but a tragedy to the employees sometimes there's even only one girl working...they need to hire more people maybe even cooking staff..YOU MIGHT BELIEVE THAT THE HOT FOOD YOUR EATING IS UP TO DATE JUST CAUSE SOMEONE WRITES ON IT WITH THE PEN does not mean its exact you have to remember these workers are in a rush and are forced to carry out more then there package by there manager... If this store ever needs anything it is a new set of employees maybe one that helps the outside clean up and one for cooking and registers..When you mix the same type of workers to do all the different types of work they get clumsy by there own struggle and failure is the outcome. read more
