Dr Clark in Blythe, a 45 mile round trip from Quartzsite, was the only dentist in the area, who, I was told, would accept my California insurance. I requested an emergency appointment and was given one for a week later. I was examined by his assistant who took an x ray and told me I have several very old fillings that need to be replaced and was given an appointment for the following week. I arrived and sat in the waiting room for about 1/2 - 3/4 of an hour before being told Dr Clark would not be in that I and I needed to reschedule. I was given no explanation or apology. I made another appointment for the following week. I has already driven to Blythe, about two hours prior to my appointment, when I received a call from the office telling me that Dr Clark would not be in that day. Again, with no explanation. When I tried to explain my situation the receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule or find another dentist. Felling I had no choice I rescheduled again for the following week. Today, the date of my next scheduled appointment, I received a call telling my appointment need to be rescheduled about two hours before my scheduled appointment. I asked what the problem was as this was the third time this has happened. The receptionist told me the dentist was not feeling well, and gave me the name of another provider in Blythe who would accept my insurance. I have no idea what is going on with such unprofessional behavior, while a month later, I still have not been able to have the tooth treated.

The dentist had the area numbed up in no time and sooner than I expected the bad tooth was out. They even gave me a blanket when I was chilled. She actually does all the procedures, including cleaning. She is low pressure, as far as recommending other work. He was having a tremendous amount of pain and our dentist (not the extraction culprit) suggested getting in to see an oral surgeon asap. It was a Friday when we called in, the office staff was so kind and empathetic, and got a hold of Dr Manny on his day off who came in pretty immediately to see my husband. He was so kind and did everything he could to investigate and ended up finding a disaster left behind. My husband was left with bone fragments, sharp ridges in his jaw and so much infection. He was basically given oral surgery over the course of a few hours by Dr Manny (who worked solo as all his assistants were also off that day). I honestly felt like he was our Godsend. Everyone we encountered at Serenity was a pleasure. My husband is even considering traveling out again to have Dr Manny do his implant. Thank you serenity and thank you Dr Manny!

We had gone to our…read moreusual dentist here in AZ and they stated we needed approximately $8k in treatments between the two of us. I had seen a program about 3 months prior that talked about the high quality of dental care available at the "Molar City" in Mexico (aka Los Algodones). Remembering that show, I did a bit of research online and decided that Dental Solutions would be our clinic of choice, and I'm so glad I made that decision. First off, getting there from the Phoenix area was relatively easy. Just like taking a trip to Yuma. The border crossing was a very smooth and easy process and once on the other side we called a number gives to us by the clinic and were picked up in their shuttle car by a friendly and personable driver. In reality, the clinic is walking distance from the border (about 4 blocks) and we actually walked back, but the shuttle was a nice option as well. The clinic itself is a newer 3-story building, well constructed and designed. It had the same quality of design and feel as our regular dentists' office in upscale Scottsdale. The front desk staff was friendly and the check-in process was rather simple and straight-forward. In minutes after check in my wife and I both headed back separately and were examined and evaluated by the staff. Everyone spoke clear English and they confirmed what work needed to be done. The cost for all the work that was suggested was approximately 25% of what we we were quoted by our US dentist, and even with adding Zoom whitening it was still drastically less than what we would pay in the states. A big positive was that they freely accepted IS credit cards including Amex, which showed me that they have confidence in the work they provide given the patients power to dispute with cards. Once we had our procedures it went very smooth.. The dentist and dental techs involved were friendly and communicative and did a great job. All the equipment was new and state-of-the-art--again feeling no different than our Scottsdale dental experiences. A month and a half after doing work and everything feels great. Our teeth are healthy and white. We will be going back in September and bringing our teenage kids as well. As an added bonus, the city of Algodones is quaint and charming and we enjoyed a nice lunch and some shopping afterwards. If you need major dental work don't pay insane prices just because you live in the US--I'd strongly suggest you give Dental Solutions a call. You'll get great care and service at a price that is affordable without sacrificing quality of care.

I just didn't believe him so I got a 2nd opinion. This dentist was angry when I told them what the dentist in Blythe had told me. They said they didn't need to be pulled. They were able to fix my teeth. I will never go to this dentist again.
