Michelle was the reason I first tried body sugaring and loved it way more than waxing. Ashley is an incredible lash artist. I am not a glam lash kinda girl and not only does she understand this but she remembers the little details every time I come in. Also I get complimented at least once a week on having such natural looking eyelash extensions which was exactly the look I was going for. I was initially hesitant about trying out extensions because of how active of a lifestyle I live. She didn't try and convince me either way but I'm so glad I did! I love them both for what they do and for the awesome humans they are. The vibe of the studio is so so laid back and chill and it's definitely in the that both ladies love what they do. I've never gotten anything waxed before so this was my very first wax. I called pretty last minute to book so I was not only lucky, but happy she was flexible to fit me into her schedual same day. Their office space is so petite, cute and stylish. She applied calming oils and other good stuff afterwards too, which helps alot since I have eczema. She's an esthetician so she knows about atopic dermatitis, she also suggested things for my milia i'm trying to get rid of! She's very knowledagble. The issue came into play with my second 18 - 20 month touch up I initially had to move my appointment out due to multiple deaths in the family & testing positive for covid and relayed that to her she allowed me to push it out then come to our rescheduled date she texted me that morning about having a migraine and needing to reschedule which obviously I was okay with being that I also had to do the same and then when I tried to contact her to reschedule she never responded to my DMs, texts, or emails. Ultimately I ended up losing my deposit because she never responded I have to this day still not gotten them touched up which my initial appointments were 2021 and my second touch up was 2022. It was the one following touch up that that I was never able to reschedule. I will say even with the disappointing customer service it's 2025 and I have not had them touched up since 2022 and they still look great minimal fading etc every time I get them waxed or my eyelashes done I get compliments still.

Aside from that, friendliness and professionalism are also greatly important to me. I have found all of these in the multiple services I have received. Aura Salon/Kylie worked it out that I come in on a day they are typically closed (Sundays) so that my hair could be fixed: something that was never even a thought at the salon that ruined it in the first place. I genuinely feel beautiful and I am so in love with my hair now, I drove 2 hours south for this and would do it over and over and over again. I know there is only so much that can be done once a bleach/color job goes wrong but what Kylie was able to do with my hair is unbelievable. She was extremely informative the entire time, had tons of ideas for what could be done depending on what I wanted, was straight forward about what could be fixed and what was going to be a cover up. She knows what she is talking about and it shows every single step of the way, down to explaining how products work and what they are doing to my hair. I never ever would've thought that my hair could look this good and feel this nice, especially after how badly it was screwed the first time. The salon is cute and cozy and welcoming, the gift shop is freaking adorable (I have a soft spot in my heart for crystals). My partner was able to relax with me while Kylie went to town on fixing my hair which was really kind as I've been to many places that don't allow any other guests. I have been to Aura a handful of times over the years (the very first time was YEARS ago when it was swanky- but my hair stylist left so I stopped going for hair but I continued to go when they changed the name, for facials a couple of times) not the point.. but it seemed like this place has changed a lot since last time I was there and it now looks like a hodge podge of different things and it didnt feel cohesive. Which, obviously works for them- but it didnt feel like an actual salon/spa. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk so one of the stylist that was cutting hair had to stop to ask us what we were there for and then said the stylist would be up soon. She came up, we went back, we talked... all is good. (Again, this has nothing to do with the actual stylist!) But the stylist took my daughter to wash her hair and a couple walked in with a baby and a toddler. Seemed to be a stylist that just had a baby. Not sure, but they went back around a corner where we couldn't see them but could hear them. The toddler would come out and run around the salon. Again, I couldn't see back there so idk if there was a door or what- but I assumed after the first time it wouldnt happen again, since this is a salon open to the public and not just for family. Nope. The toddler kept coming out running around and two different times would go to a chair that a client was sitting in and either touch their leg or arm or whatever (as a curious toddler would do) but the dad slowly dragging his feet behind the child and would stand back and say "hey buddy, let's not do that" instead of scooping him up and taking him back to where the stylist and baby were hanging out. It was crazy that it happened once, let alone more then once! Then a couple other people were checking in for their appointments and there weren't seats available, they had to sit in the chairs at the nail area or the dryer. It was just a weird experience between the way the salon was set up, the fact a child was allowed to run around, touching guests, and lack of a waiting room (which if I remember correctly, was taken out to put a little gift shop in?) Like I said the stylist was great.. but the salon overall, I would not recommend.
