My wife and I went there to purchase a control collar that was recommended by our trainer,, blond haired woman was in the store on the phone,,she saw us and walked away,,twice,, as walked around,,looked at product in the freezer,commented about no prices, and looked at items on shelves .. we layed metal collar on counter and STILL waited for her to come to register,,,she was still on the phone,and only paused because my wife wanted to ask her a question..we made our purchase,blond hair lady asked if we wanted a bag,,we saif no,,and she did NOT thank us or say come again...BAD customer service,thats why we go to Max and Mollys in Hamburg,,,way better customer service and always a GREAT experience with them. read more

AVOID! Owner Amy was rude and nasty. I stood for 10 minutes directly in front of her at the counter as she chatted about nothing with another customer, she would not even acknowledge my presence. Finally I asked for some help and she let me know she was very offended that I interrupted her chat. Her tone of voice and words were rude and unfriendly. Finally the husband came out from the back, shot her a dirty look, and helped me buy a halter, that did not fit btw. This was the second time I had crappy service from her. I gave her a second try, but never again. I will spend my $$ ( I have 4 dogs whom spoil) in a local store that doesn't treat its customers like dirt. read more

I have been here quite a few times and each time I go I am very taken aback by how unenthusiastic Amy is about having a customer in her store. The last time I went in I stood in front of the counter while she was doing something on her computer. She didn't look up until I asked if she carried a certain product. Her response was "Uh, no we don't" and then went back to her computer. I then had to ask if she carried anything comparable, and she gave me a look as if she was annoyed as she got up to show me where a comparable product was. She didn't say much about the product aside from it was "all natural and very good", then she returned to her counter. After a minute of browsing I went up to the counter and again, she was on her computer. After standing there for a while, I had to place my products down LOUDLY on the counter for her to look up. During the transaction she said nothing aside from the price, took my cash, handed me my change, and went back to her computer. As a small business owner that thrives on happy customers, I can't believe how rude she always is. read more

I just left your store. I waited for 12 minutes with my 3 children to even be acknowledged by the gentleman behind the counter. When we walked in he was helping a woman and only looked at us when we came through the door, not even a nod or smile. He was chatting with the only customer ahead of me(who I spoke to a few times, by the way). Once she left, he asked if I needed help finding something. I told him I needed to have a tag made. The machine is behind the counter, not a self serve, which is why I was just standing there waiting for him. He didn't respond. While I was speaking to him, my kids started trying to find a toy for our new puppy. When he finally talked to me, he said "They can't be doing that. They can't be squeaking the toys." When he turned his attention back to me he was not pleasant. He was seemingly trying to rush me out of there. So I explained to him that I had changed my mind and didn't need to get a tag today. His matter of fact demeanor and rudeness had me collect my children and walk out of your store without spending a dime. He chose his priority and it wasn't customer service. Try to remember, families have pets too. What a shame. I would have loved to support a local small business. read more

I never went to the store however, I called to see if they carried dogie disposable diapers and the woman filled me in on all avenues I can go down regarding my dogs situation. Amy's knowledge, expertise and experience saved my cats life!!!!! I took my 5 year old, 7 lb., cat to the Vet because she had developed chronic diarrhea. Instead of addressing her health issue, the Vet gave her 2 vaccines without first discussing it with me. Within an hour after returning home, my cat was lethargic and almost unable to stand and was pooping significant amounts of blood. I called the Vet to report this - - he was disinterested and said "it'll probably pass". This cat was dying! I stayed awake with the cat all night and went to Amy's Animals the next day. Amy listened ... really listened ... to my story. Amy said that my cat should never have been given vaccines while she was unwell ... and then she said that my cat, very likely, had Colitis. Amy hand picked out a weeks worth of the high quality food that she carries in her store and gave me detailed directions on how to begin to bring my cat back to life. She told me to come back the following week to update her on my cats health so that she could select the right food for the next week. Because of Amy's interest, knowledge and experience along with the high quality food that she carries in her store, my cat not only lived, but she is thriving!!!!!
