I feel the divided wood paneling that separates the two sections of the restaurant is symbolic of the two types of food you might find there. There is a Western menu with burgers and pizza and a Chinese menu with stir fries and rice. The husband got the reuben sandwich and fries and I got the shrimp vegetable stir fry. I was surprised to get such a huge portion of rice and there wasn't an extra charge for it as many places do. The stir fry was a bit oily. A layer of oil remained in my dish at the end of my meal. It appears only two people work there, perhaps a husband a wife team. I so appreciate the hard work that they do as it reminds me of my immigrant parents doing the same when I was a child. The place seems stuck in time. There's an register at the front which she actually uses to ring up the check but there is a scanner for your credit card. Boxes of supplies are just sitting on the floor (mostly in the back). A stand alone fridge with drinks is also in the back. The wood paneling reminds me of the basement of the house that I grew up in. Sure it could use some updating but it's a small town. Maybe it's part of the charm.
