I ordered flowers, balloons, and chocolates for my wife on our 40th anniversary at 4:31 pm on 5/28. I requested delivery between 12:00 and 2:00 pm on 5/29. At 11:57 am on 5/29 I received an email cancelling the order with the reason being that the shop was closed. However, their website states they are open from 9:00 - 2:00 on Saturday and they were open on Friday when the order was placed. This is pathetic. read more

Update: After seeing my review, Amy's delivered another bouquet that was much closer to what I'd originally ordered and I'm very surprised, pleased and thankful for their effort to make it right. read more

Really rude people! Terrible customer service. Called to get more information on their flower arrangements, unfortunately their website is limited on options so I went on their Facebook page and was able to find a lot more options for what I was looking for. I had to literally described them the flowers I was looking at, and told them it would be easier for them to jump on their page with me .... nop! They started getting all mad and raised their voice over the phone because THEY DIDN'T KNOW how to even use Facebook. The woman that was on the phone with me even started talking over me. WILL NEVER buy anything from here and WILL NEVER recommend this place. One star is even too much! read more

I ordered my Mom flowers for Mother's Day this year. Although I don't live in Tuscaloosa I do know who Amy's florist is and the great reputation they have. My sweet Mom was so pleasantly pleased with her bouquet and told me that it was the prettiest arrangement she has ever received. Thank you Amy's for making my Mom's arrangement very beautiful. Upon recommendation, I ordered sympathy flowers from Amy's Florist to be delivered to the funeral home. I ordered a $90 floral vase arrangement (I was also specific in colors if possible) to be delivered on Friday, January 28th. I received a conformation by email from the florist and immediately called them because they spelled the recipient's name wrong on the receipt. My sister in law was at the funeral home and a pitiful Peace Lilly Plant was delivered instead of a floral vase arrangement. The plant was wrapped in crappy paper and a pathetic cheap bow. I called Amy's Florist and spoke with an employee who was rude and treated me like an idiot. (little did she know that I have spent over 20 years in the floral world and again, I was very specific in my order). The receipt said that I ordered designer's choice. This employee said that this was a designer's choice, a plant. Never did the receipt did it show that I ordered a plant. This employee wanted to fight about it and said they were busy at the time that I ordered the arrangemeant. I assure you that I was not there to argue but to discuss that this is not what I ordered and because the order showed I was out of town, they could get away with sending a ridiculous looking plant instead of a vase arrangement. The employee tried to tell me that in Tuscaloosa, floral shops do not deliver vase arrangements to funeral homes because they get knocked over easily. I asked to speak to the owner, but she was too busy to speak to me. My sister in law spoke to the funeral home director and he also felt like we were taken advantaged of in our order. PLEASE DO NO ORDER FROM THIS FLORIST. THE OTHER REVIEWS ARE HORRIBLE AND THEY GO BACK FOR MANY YEARS. AGAIN, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND THEY WILL BE INCREDIBLY RUDE IN THE PROCESS. AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST. ALSO, I AM FORCED TO GIVE A RATING TO POST THIS REVIEW, SO I AM RELUCTANTLY GIVING AMY'S FLORIST ONE STAR. THEY DO NOT DESERVE A STAR AT ALL. read more

New to area and needed a goodie basket in a hurry. Called Amy's Florist and was able to pick up a basket the next morning. It's was reasonably priced and absolutely gorgeous. Would highly recommend to anyone!!!! read more

What a joke!! We had friends order flowers for our daughter's birthday which was Christmas eve. They tried to deliver them at 10 am on Christmas eve and no one was home, when we got home at 4:00 pm we called and were told by the answering service the store had closed at 1:00 pm and were closed Christmas Day but would try to have someone call, NO ONE DID. We called the day after Christmas to see the status and was told they had to check to see if they were on the delivery truck and would call back, NO ONE EVER CALLED. We called again later in the afternoon and were told they were closed and there were no deliveries that day but someone would call us Friday morning and to confirm delivery by 11:00 am, NO ONE CALLED, NO DELIVERY. We called Friday afternoon on our way to the store and were left on hold for ten minutes, when they finally answered we were told that they were scheduled to be delivered that day but were waiting for us to call to see if we would pick them up!! We pulled in the parking lot while still on the phone, went inside and the flowers were there. When we explained to the staff what a poor experience we where having, promises made not kept, phone calls not returned etc. they blamed the answering service and said the owner was aware because it happens all the time and they just work there but have to face the angry customers. We picked up our flowers which are now four days old and look it. I would never recommend this poorly run business to anyone. Getting flowers is a time sensitive gift and this business does meet this commitment. read more

Ordered my sons flowers for prom date 28 days in advance. Son picks up flower and the ribbon is different and not matching dress now. No one said anything, called to tell us the change in color was being made or point it out when he picked up. I called when he got home and they said they were out of the color I picked 28 days earlier. They will not reimburse me all my money because I have to bring back. We need a flower. They offered to make something else but we live 30+ minutes from the shop and they don't have the color we need. I understand things happen but don't take an order if you don't have the product. Especially for something that has to match a dress. The person I talked to told me I was rude and it would be ok for me not to return to the store. I guess rude is asking questions on why this happened and asking for my money back. I have an upset date on her senior prom. They don't have to worry. I won't be back. read more
