Spent time picking out something for a funeral of a family friend who lost his battle with cancer. As he was retired military settled on a patriotic wreath. The example shown was too small & specifically ask to see larger wreaths. Was shown and picked out a much larger wreath, paid a lot for that decorate wreath, only to go to the viewing yesterday and see a small decorated wreath on a stand. That's bad business!! read more

My son ordered an arrangement for his girlfriend which cost almost $100 dollars. He was very excited about the arrangement because for one the roses are her favorite color and it was over all a beautiful arrangement (online). The arrangement that she received looked more like an arrangement for a funeral. I understand that the arrangements online may not look exactly like the one that is received but they should at least look similar. I placed on online order through 1800-flowers for an extra large arrangement that cost 79.99 plus delivery fee and taxes. The online went through Stephanies in Tuscaloosa. What I received was a puny $40 arrangement. When I called Stephanies the excuse given was because I used an online service instead of calling them directly and since I used a 3rd party they didn't receive payment for the extra large that was ordered so they sent a $40 arrangement and it was my fault for using a 3rd party. No refunds, no exchanges, Just utter rudeness from Stephanies. read more

Because it is important to me to support local businesses, I called a friend who recommended Stephanie's for ordering flowers for my daughter's birthday. I requested a clear, square vase with a low, colorful arrangement. I specifically stated no carnations and no baby's breath filler. I also shared that my daughter likes Gerber daisies. The cost with delivery was $102. As noted in some of the other reviews, my preferences were completely ignored. My daughter received a sparse arrangement in a tall, cheap glass vase. Absolutely unacceptable. I ordered a floral arrangement from Stephanie's Florist for my elderly relative who is recovering from surgery, and what was delivered was nothing short of insulting. What I ordered: a carefully arranged bouquet in a basket--something easy for a recovering person to manage, clearly chosen with her recovery needs in mind. What was delivered: a mess of flowers haphazardly dropped into a glass vase filled with murky, dirty water, as if someone just tossed them in last minute and called it a day. There was zero attempt at arrangement--just stems shoved in at odd angles, like leftovers from another order. To add insult to injury, my relative can't even safely lift a glass vase right now due to her condition. The basket wasn't just a preference--it was a requirement. The care and thought behind the order were completely disregarded. I am attaching a photo of what I ordered and what was delivered so you can see the blatant lack of professionalism and attention to detail. I expect much better from any florist, especially when handling a gift for someone following surgery. read more

I am the recipient of the flowers described in the above two reviews. I mean, really? What I got vs what was ordered was insulting! Not a beautiful basket of mauve and purple flowers, but yellow daisies, goldenrod and greens , not even arranged, but clumps of each. No basket, but a clear vase. I wish I had an explanation of why you thought this was ok. read more

Stopped in before my sisters graduation ceremony and picked out a bouquet that was in a vase in the cooler. One of the friendly staff members arranged it in a hand bouquet with gorgeous ribbon - Alabama themed - houndstooth and all! We hadn't even asked her to do that! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and really made all of the photos even that much more special. All of the staff was very friendly- multiple people asking us if we needed assistance while we waited. Flowers were great quality and extremely reasonably priced! I was trying to order two flowers for a funeral. One flower from a company and one flower personal (two credit cards). Stephanie's flowers email receipt to me had the names mixed up on the credit cards and only showed one card message. When I called to straighten this out I was told many things: The messages would be correct from to the third party vendor. The system only takes one name for the credit cards even though there were two purchases from two different cards. The receipt only lets you put one message on it. All of this seems incorrect to me because they tried to redo it and changed the names and the message, even though the message was still incorrect. Overall, the biggest problem is that they were very irritated and rude that I would not accept that they had everything correct going to the third party vendor? I just wanted a receipt that showed everything correct so I would have confidence that it would show up right to the funeral. However, I was told that they could not explain the system to me and that it would not allow them to do a correct receipt. I asked to cancel the order and they initially could not tell me if I would get a confirmation of the cancellation or when it would be cancelled. They later said 5-7 days. Again, the biggest frustration was how I was treated. Maybe they were having a bad day but I cannot help that. I don't think it is much to ask that the receipt show everything correctly. read more

I was disappointed when I saw a picture of the flowers I ordered for a friend to celebrate their new home. Compared to the picture on their site, what my friend received was pretty skimpy. I was really disappointed. They were pretty and were delivered on time. Ordering on the site was convenient. I just can't get past how skimpy the bouquet was in the vase.
