Setting up an appointment to view the books is not a big deal and he is very flexible with regards to hours or giving you enough time to view the books that you are interested in. His prices are definitely higher than say Ames or Booktown Books, however the quality of his stock is very high and he takes great pride on making sure that all of his books are protected in brodart and in the highest condition possible. I definitely recommend Hardy Books to anyone who has an interest in California History/Literature and who enjoys hunting for that rare or unusual volume.
