We came for lunch Thursday afternoon around 3 pm, and to my surprise there were more folks eating than I expected to see given the late lunch time. The menu has a lot of options... the other location I went to focused on South Indian dishes like dosas and uttapam, but here in addition to South Indian dishes, they offer a huge selection of curries and rice dishes as well as Indo-Chinese dishes. Please note that this is a veg restaurant; there's no meat on the menu. My friend and I split the chappathi ($7.25) and the onion rava masala dosa ($10.50). The chappathi was good and came with two curries, a potato curry and an aloo matar (cauliflower pea) curry. Both curries were good, but the aloo matar curry was super flavorful and my favorite of the two. The rava dosa was really good too. It was crispy and had a good amount of onion filling. However, the sambar it came with was super spicy, the spiciest sambar I've ever had. I couldn't eat it at all sadly. It also came with different chutneys than what I'm used to, but the ones they had were okay. My favorite was the coconut chutney, and I'm not sure what the other (yellow) one was. The food was fine, but the service was super lacking. All of the servers weren't very helpful and sometimes even was a bit rude. If tipping was common here, I would give very little to no tip for the service we experienced.

Despite being run by Sri Lankans, they do carry dishes from all over India, as well as some Sri Lankan specialties and a few Pakistani ones. The food truck is cheap, the seating area is packed to the brim with Indians, and the food is just plain good. I started going here during the colder months and they have a tented area that has heaters in it so that one can enjoy food on site. I have previously gotten a chicken vindaloo and it was nice and spicy and still super tasty. More recently as I've been switching back to my old vegetarian ways, I've been getting the channa aloo vegetarian thali. It costs 4,90 Euros. And seriously, the portion is MASSIVE. It also comes with a fresh raita and side of lentils and huge portion of rice. Sometimes I order naan, but not too much recently as the thali in itself is so filling. The chicken dishes are only 1 Euro more than the veggie ones. The food is no frills and so good for its price. While it may be catering a bit more to the German market, to see so many Indians eating here is refreshing and tells one that the food is of high quality and standards.
