Omg I feel terrible I can't remember their names but wonderful young lady & gentleman who took us out on a tour on the wee sunrise hours of 05/25/2025. It was an incredible start to my birthday! They were so mannerly and awesome personality for getting there at 5:30am on a Sunday you'd never know it!! We had the perfect weather and tide conditions for kayaking! They were enjoyable and knowledgable. We each took out a single. They also have doubles and other equipment for rentals. Definitely worth it!! Clearly they know what they're doing. We couldn't thank them enough. Hoping we get to go out with them again sometime soon!! We have so many amazing pictures I'll only be able to share a few. read more

Really enjoyed our 2 hour experience. Initially booked to try canoes but he recommended double kayaks with the tides. Went down to lighthouse and then back to the dunes area. Had to be careful in a couple places where too shallow but beautiful peaceful area. Afterwards, we drove down to the beach that is quiet and private. We will do again, possibly try the Aqua Fin or Hobie sailboats. read more

Nice equipment, helpful staff members, affordable pricing. They sell little waterproof bags (and big drybags too) so that if you need to you can take electronics or clothing out on the boat with you. Souvenirs are park-specific which is nice. They were building a new restroom facility when we visited (Memorial Day 2017). There's also a picnic area with grills. There are classroom facilities too which can also be rented for meetings. The building has wifi. This building is separate from the other building with the cafe and store inside, which is closer to the beach. We will definitely rent another tandem kayak from here next time we camp at Anastasia State Park. The kayaking takes place over oyster beds so you CANNOT get out of the boat without injuring yourself. Beautiful views and we saw lots of wildlife, especially birds, crabs, and we think we saw a sea turtle quickly surface. read more

Best day ever! Yes, it's annoying that the fee for the kayaks didn't cover park entrance, but you can't have it all. When we arrived, the team took care of us quickly, made sure we got our life jackets, and pulled us into the water--everything was set up, ready to go. We spent a wonderful Saturday morning paddling over to the marsh area and back. Next time, we're going for the lighthouse! A relaxing way to spend a day. read more

The staff was more than friendly accommodating our group of 12. It was windy so we couldn't paddle board but they replaced them with kayaks and had doubles ready for the younger ones so they could work together. It was a great experience! Beautiful out the on the water there. read more

I love this place!! By far my favorite nearby spot. My husband and I went to Anastasia Watersports on a whim and went paddle-boarding last April, and we love this area so much that we brought a bunch of friends back last weekend when the idea of kayaking came up. We had a small family of dolphins that were swimming with us the whole two hours, it was so cool! It's a very relaxing spot, no need to worry about motored traffic, lots of space to play or coast around and just be in nature and enjoy the water and all the wildlife and the surroundings. The people running the venue - like Sam and Wyatt - are really nice, helpful, laid back, add to the pleasant atmosphere, and then they just let you go do your thing out on the water and are there to help you when you get back. Very unprofessonal company!!! Yesterday,Aug 28, 330-630pm,was our appt for kayaking with them. At 3:08pm of appt day, we received a voicemail from them requesting to reschedule our appt because they were understaffed on a Sunday. By that time,we had already travelled 1.5 hours and was already in the state park by the time they made a call. They did not bother to apologize, by the way, but agreed to reschedule us the next day, Aug. 29, to honor our 330-630pm appt. However, when we arrived the next day (Aug. 29) for our agreed appt, Anastasia Watersports was closed again. Mind you, they never bothered to call nor emailed to let us know that they were CLOSED again on our scheduled appt day. By that time, I had been so angry because we travelled 1.5 hrs for this rescheduled appt and paid the state park Usd16 for "unused utilization of entrance fees "because they were CLOSED". I decided to call Anastasia Watersports because they never bothered to call at all to let us know that they were CLOSED again for our agreed rescheduled appt. The girl on the line NEVER bothered to apologize considering that we travelled a total of 6 hours for 2 days just for this. You know what the owner merely said on the phone? Well, I can only offer you a REFUND for the amount that we paid for kayaking and literally hung up the phone on me. Yes, this is what this idiot company did. Well, save your company and go elsewhere to kayak. If there was only an option to put 0 reviews, I'd give this company that. When you own a company, you'd generally know by morning if you're going to have manpower for the rest of tbe day. As for weather issues, there is also a daily weather report that can guide you how the weather is going to be for the rest of the day. Has this company been living under the rock all this time? If you're in the entertainment vacation business, professional courtesy demands that you let your customers know at least 1-2 hours in advance if they cannot honor previously agreed appts because some actually travel long distance for these things---in our case, we travelled a total of 6 hours for 2 days for Anastasia and paid usd 16 in state park entrance fees that are not even refundable!!!! read more

Very fun and affordable. My wife, son, and I rented a tandem kayak for 3 hours and it was fantastic! My son and I rode the tandem and my wife had her own kayak and we went to the light house and back. The only problem I had with the experience is that we felt very rushed to turn in our rented kayak. Our original rental time was set for 12:00pm-3:00pm. The girl said our time starts when we get in the kayak on the water and that was at 12:30pm and our rental end should have been 3:30pm. But at 2:30 they were calling my cell phone which was turned off while kayaking so she left a voice mail asking where we are at. (I didn't know any of the calls came through until we left.) Also while paddling back there was a couple works yelling from the waters edge for us to come in even though we still had over 30 minutes left from the time we started, or about 15mins left based on our original rental end time. Again we had a blast and we would still very much recommend going and spending the day on the water with them. I say 4 stars instead of 5 stars due to the workers rushing us and ending of trip early. read more

We made a reservation to try paddle boards. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on our first day. They were super helpful and made arrangements for us to try the next day when the wind would be better. Sadly, when that time arrived, it was still too windy for paddle boarding. We really thought we might be able to try, but the conditions still hadn't improved enough. Having no experience at all we thought it might still be OK, but the staff actually took the time and explained why it would not be a good idea. We ended up getting a refund because we were leaving St. Augustine the next day. The staff were all really great and understanding. How many businesses do you know that would have just taken our deposit and let us go try only to have a really bad experience, or worse, injury ourselves? While we didn't get to paddle board this time, next time we visit we will definitely try again with them. read more
