I have been to Ireland twice, this church reminds me a lot Saint Brandon the Navigator by Crookhaven. That's where my Great Grandmother came from. It's a moving experience to come to this parish and connect with Irish roots. At Catholic church's all are welcome. This church is by the intersection of West 25th and Detroit. Saint Malachi is minutes from downtown, Gordon Square, and the West Side Market.

This review is for St. Charles Borromeo School, not the church. I mean, who reviews churches?…read more I grew up across the street from St. Charles and I've watched the school grow and change. In fact, the selling of our house TO St. Charles actually helped them grow, in a way. They used the space where I lived for 24 years to build a much needed parking lot. While I miss seeing my old house, I get to park where my house once stood and walk through what was once my back yard. The house on Alber behind where mine used to be on Wilber still stands as does the oak tree that was planted when I was a young kid. I can see just how much that oak tree has grown and it reminds me of how much life changes, for better or worse. I did not attend St. Charles. Instead, I went to Renwood. But I'm happy that I am able to send my kids to St. Charles because I believe it is the or one of the best elementary schools in Parma. The principal, teachers, and other staff are excellent. If only the catholic high schools had similar tuition rates! The annual St. Charles Carnival has been part of my life as long as I can remember. I live just three streets away now and I visit St. Charles more than ever due to my children's involvement with the school. The CYO sports teams and coaches are excellent. I didn't realize I could have played for St. Charles CYO when I was a kid even though I didn't go to St. Charles. Instead, I waited for 7th grade, which is when Parma City Schools allow students to participate in sports. St. Charles starts track in first grade and many other sports in third grade. If only we'd known, I definitely would have played for the school directly across the street.

I felt God was telling me to just attend. I'm glad that I visited because the sermon message today really was something I needed to hear. The Pastor was in the last day of a series titled "The Strategy of Satan" (read Ephesians 6:10-18). He preached about how in this life, we are engaged in an invisible war. When trials and temptations come your way, be ready to put on the whole armour of God (metaphorically speaking) and fight the devil. The pastor gave real life examples as he preached so the whole message was easy to understand. As the pastor preached, there were notes to follow along on a bulletin. I liked that inside the bulletin, there was a memory verse and next steps on how to get involved with the church. I enjoyed the praise and worship time, prayer, and the little meet and greet session. Everyone I encountered was very friendly snd welcoming. I especially love that the church is diverse - filled with different races with men, women, and children. I've been visiting a few churches these past few weeks and I know where I will end up but I'm still glad that I visited LNLC. **** This is my 110th Yelp review overall. 64 reviews for 2018. The church has ample space inside with the main worship space, event space, library, and gallery. The focal point of this church is a unique organ built by the Holtkamp Organ Company in 1977 that is played during service. Old Stone Church also hosts events for the community. Periodically you can visit a tour of the church that is mostly self-led. There are also culinary chef events that feature local chefs providing cooking demonstrations and lunches. All events can be easily found on the church's website, Eventbrite, and Facebook. I have visited this church on multiple occasions. Once for a tour and more recently for a food event. Everyone is absolutely welcoming and wonderful whether you are part of this church or a mere visitor. Parking at the church is a bit complex during your first time. Old Stone Church has Sunday service permit parking on the east and west sides of Ontario St (across from the entrance to our Parish House) and the south side of Rockwell Ave. A parking attendant (visible with a green vest) is always standing where the next car is to park. You can visit the church to obtain the parking permit and display it on your windshield if you're visiting for worship or events. If you're a visitor in Cleveland, I highly recommend adding Old Stone Church to your itinerary. However, prior to your visit, ensure that the church is open. They have limited hours of operations and usually don't have the church part open during events.

I called the Church to see if there was any help they could give me for rides but was told I could watch the services on line and apologized. I am really disappointed that a Christian Church could not attempt to help.

This church has a challenging, demanding liturgy that is not made user-friendly. I like it…read more There's something raw and coarse about it; it's the way churches should be. At the same time, the community at this church is more open and accessible than some. In many ways, this church is an opposite of the more common type of church in which the services are dumbed-down to be more accessible to newcomers, but the communities are more closed to outsiders. In many ways this church is typical of a church but there are a number of things that are just a tad better here than elsewhere. Episcopal churches tend to have awful singing (i.e. the hymns are good, but Episcopals can't sing), but in this church the singing is average, which means it is unusually good for an Episcopal church. I like it. The service, spiritual-content, and politics? All decent. The Pastor is a cool guy. As an added bonus, there are actually a small handful of people in the 18-35 age range, the group that seems all too absent from most churches. I found the congregation to be fairly welcoming and willing to talk to newcomers. Not only was I actually approached by the pastor and several others at the coffee hour, but people actually took the time to talk to me, and introduce me to people. It made a very good impression. Perhaps the best thing about this church is that there is less wrong with it than there is with most churches. The people here are a little bit less superficial, the service is a little less boring and a little more relevant to your life. It's nothing outstanding really, but considering how incredibly horrible most churches are, I am left with no other choice but to give this church four stars!
