These are some of the highest quality, creative, and delicious flavored tea blends that I've had…read morethe privilege of trying recently! Our hotel offered a variety of complementary tea.o.graphy blends in our room and I was seriously impressed by the flavor and after having a tisane and a cup of the Earl grey I was so impressed that I took the rest of the bags home with us. Each blend was flavorful and high quality. I really wanted to visit the tea shop on the day/evenign we were in Taos but unfortunately they were closed, so I didn't get to experience it in person. However, these teas were so good that I couldn't forget them, so I ordered a few small bags of various black tea blends for my birthday this year. The online ordering experience was seamless, the shipping was prompt and the teas were exactly as described. I tried Daily Moon, which is from their "Moon Unit" series and can best be described as a sort of smoky Earl Grey spinoff (including rose petals and orange peel in addition to the bergamot). The other tea I got was Forest Floor, which tastes as it describes and also includes Sichuan peppercorns, an ingenious addition that I never knew I was missing! I will definitely be ordering the large bag when I run out of this batch, and will definitely stop by the tea shop next time I'm in Taos.

If I could give this place negative stars I would…read more I was incredibly disappointed by my experience at Tea.o.graphy in Taos today. As someone who absolutely loves tea, I was genuinely excited to finally visit. I brought my son with me, expecting a welcoming local experience. When we walked in, my son and I were the only Hispanic customers in the shop. I normally don't think twice about that--my family has been in Taos for more than eight generations, and I've always considered this my hometown. After looking around, I walked to the register where I was clearly the only customer waiting to order. I stood there patiently for about five minutes without anyone acknowledging me. Then an older white gentleman walked up, almost behind the counter, and an employee immediately came over to help him. She never greeted me, never said, "I'll be with you in a moment," and never even acknowledged that I was standing there waiting. The gentleman and the employee had what appeared to be a familiar conversation while I continued standing at the counter. I finally mentioned that I had been waiting, but she didn't respond or acknowledge what I said. After their conversation ended, both of them walked away, leaving me standing there without ever being helped. My son and I left feeling invisible and unwelcome. Based on how we were treated, I left feeling that our ethnicity may have played a role in the way we were ignored. Whether or not that was the intention, that is how the experience came across, and it was deeply hurtful. We ended up going to Alley Cantina instead, where we were greeted immediately with kindness, seated right away, and even brought water as soon as we sat down. The difference in hospitality was night and day. I hate writing negative reviews, especially about a local business, but no customer should be made to feel invisible. I sincerely hope Tea.o.graphy reflects on how customers are welcomed and treated, because everyone deserves basic courtesy and respect.
