I've used Anderson Auto Repair twice for inspections. Each time they were performed quickly and smoothly. The owner, Dean, speaks his mind, which I personally appreciate but I can see how it might rub some people the wrong way. While I have not needed a car repair yet, Dean seems honest to me and I believe he would perform quality work so I would not hesitate to use Anderson Auto Repair for any car repairs I may need in the future. I was traveling from Lufkin to Killeen when my tire liner became dislodged. It began rubbing against the right front tire making a terrible noise. I pulled into this establishment and was promptly greeted. Without delay, he had it up on the lift and proceeded to secure the whole liner along with checking the tire for any damage. Dean Anderson is an independent business owner who is hands on, doing all of his work himself. He is "old school" in terms of values, which carries alot of weight in my book. He does what he says he will at a level of quality he would provide for his own family. He has a sense of humor and dry wit, for sure. But with Dean, you know what you are getting, including when you get the bill. No surprises...I can appreciate that. I went there yesterday to get my truck inspected because I'm registering it in Texas for the first time. After seeming inconvenienced that I was at his shop, the owner told me to get him my proof of insurance and keys so I did. I pulled my truck around to the bay door and went back inside to give him what he requested. He then asked me if my truck had a muffler on it, which it did not and as it dawned on me that in Texas a muffler is required the shop owner was kind enough to tell me "Thank you for wasting my time". Now, I haven't registered a truck in Texas in 10 years since I've been in the military. Texas will be the third state my truck has been registered in but my inspection will definitely not be done by this guy or any future work either. Don't worry sir, I won't be back to bother you any more. read more
