I was deadly afraid of dentist. I had many bad experiences as a child. I started seeing Dr. Anderson in 1979, because I developed periodontal disease. I told them right up front of my fears of dentist. Dr. Anderson and his staff were very understanding. I see the hygienist every 3 months and Dr. Anderson for other dental work. He has always explained things to me before the procedure. He has always been very nice, even comes in to visit with me, he can be funny at times. I said early I have been seeing him since 79, but we were in Italy for 3 years, after we got back, I started to see Dr. Anderson again. My mom went to him for new dentures, my sister started to go to him and my husband went to him when he chipped his dentures. I would recommend him to anyone. His staff and the doc have always been professional. They would squeeze me in if I have an emergency, know my name and treat me with respect. I love this dentist. I recently switched here from a previous dentist that I wasn't thrilled with. The office is beautiful, front desk staff is nice, warm, and very courteous. I never have to wait very long to be seen. My hygienist is amazing and remembers personal details about me so it feels like you are a part of the family. I have never had such a positive experience at this dentist until I started seeing Karl Anderson. Highly recommend this dentist! Edit: I am very disappointed to see these other poor reviews. I wish I could give a zero star review, both Kurt and his son Karl are immature and unprofessional. I finally went to a new dentist and found out how much they messed up my teeth. They are both high functioning alcoholics and they talk about it at work! I've watched them yell at their employees for no reason on multiple occasions. I'm surprised they haven't had more problems with harassment cases. Overall I'm disappointed, a church friend of mine recommended them and I assumed that would come through in their treatment of people but obviously not. Overall I'm very disappointed and I waisted a lot of money on their terrible but highly priced work. read more

Dr. Anderson is a very friendly and caring dentist. I was home for the holidays, visiting family. I needed a second opinion on a diagnostics that I had received from my dentist in NC. After visiting my dentist every 6 months, I was suddenly told that I had 4 cavities and that it would cost almost $1,000 to fix. Thank God for Dr. Anderson, who was able to see me while I was back in SD. Not only did I get seen right away, but he verified what I was thinking, that I did not have any cavities. It is nice to go to a dentist who has your best interests at heart. If we ever move back to Rapid City, Dr. Anderson will be our dentist! read more

My family and myself just starting going to Anderson Dental after not being happy at our previous dentist. My 3 kids and I absolutely loved this office! Everyone was extremely nice and they didn't seem to be in a rush at all. They were willing to answer any questions I had. When my son started crying because he thought a tooth was going to be pulled they stopped and brought him over to me and helped him calm down. They didn't push through his cleaning or anything. Dr Anderson has been my family's dentist for several years now and his service has been outstanding! He's taken care of me through a couple dental emergencies and has brought me relief through his years of experience. I have also had an implant done at his recommendation and just as he said it would it improved my quality of life by allowing me to enjoy my food without having to compensate chewing on only one side! Dr. Karl Anderson performed a filling and a crown build up on my teeth in 7/2018. I was treated with courtesy by all office staff. Dr. Karl was on time for my appointment and I had almost no wait time. Dr. Karl was very professional and explained everything he was doing as part of my treatment plan, before he started working on my teeth. Dr. Karl didn't add any procedures in that weren't necessary. I had no issues with my billing or insurance co-pay amounts. I was so impressed with how his practice was run, I switched to Dr. Karl as my primary dentist. read more

I've been going to Anderson Dental since moving to Rapid City almost a decade ago, and I haven't once felt the need to try a different office for my dental health. The staff is super friendly, the facilities are clean and well cared for and the service they provide is second to none. I've recently started taking my youngest for check ups as well and they have been fantastic with him. He looks forward to going to the dentist because they make it fun and are super patient with him. A great dental clinic for all your dental needs. I was traveling in Rapid city an had a dental urgency. I called them and they were willing to sacrifice their lunch hour even though I was not an established patient. The entire office was very friendly and made me feel welcome. The dentist was excellent and explained everything to me. They took care of my problem in one visit. Charges were very reasonable. I would have paid a lot more in my hometown. Great care everytime from cleaning to cavity fillings. I first starting coming back when with no insurance and toothpain. I had a few cavities. They took care of them immediately after a few x-rays. Now I can go in for a cleaning and get every done within the week if there's any problem spots. It's great. The staff is friendly and caring.
