This is after an Emergency room visit with an extremely unqualified staff who seems to be lacking…read morebasic patient care training. Let's start by myself being questioned why we were at "this" ER, instead of an ER that we prior visited earlier in the day... well this ER was closer to our home, we needed immediate medical attention, it was getting late and the first discharge paperwork stated to return to ER immediately if having problems.... Overall Why does it matter?... I'm in the middle of trying to get care for my wife who has extremely complex and acute conditions and we were disrespected at every step of our visit. I took us to what a thought was a professional medical facility with professionally trained medical staff that respected patients and took their jobs seriously. We were viewed as drug-seeking from what I can tell, as that could be the only explanation for the treatment we have received, and that is just unacceptable. The team did not listen to me, the caregiver of the patient, and against my direction made numerous mistakes that led to further patient harm and distress. Starting with in the waiting room, my wife had to be assisted to a recovery position on the floor so she did not fall out of her wheelchair due to active seizures - staff approached us and said we could not be on the floor and she had to get up. At this time my wife was in the middle of seizures, unable to communicate, understand, or control her own body. I had to argue for them to even listen and they left, clearly frustrated - but not offering any help. Later the same nurse came out saying they had a bed - my wife was still on the floor and unable to utilize her strength to move herself. The care staff then asked, "what do you want us to do?" I thought that hospital staff are trained to help patients off the floor from falls and etc, so I literally said, "are you not trained to help a patient off the floor?". After they finally sent out staff to assist me in picking my wife up to get her to the room, they literally asked me to open their medical cabinet to grab IV and blood draw equipment - I am not a medical staff at UW - that is totally unacceptable - again! What procedures are in place to ensure these numerous mistakes are not made over and over? It is a harm to patients, patient families, and the community. It's crazy how those most vulnerable and dependent upon intensive medical care, are treated the worst by the medical staff they rely upon. One of the first things I said is to not use her left arm due to the series of conditions that will make it difficult, if not impossible to get a line. Well you can clearly see they did not listen and blew her vein out. We followed up with our primary doctor at UW who was horrified at the care we received. Let's just end with although this is the closest ED to our home we will take the risk and drive to the next one. We have reached out to patient relations numerous times with no response. It seems that they are more concerned about google reviews here than good patient practices and may finally get back to us here?????????

I've been a patient of their clinic for over 20 years, yet reaching a human to get urgent issues taken care of before the end of the year, when my insurance plan is changing, has been unexpectable. God forbid you're a woman, have autoimmune conditions, have dealt with depression (like everyone else in Seattle), and god forbid you're in pain. After being diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases outside the UW system, I was so excited to finally see a rheumatologist who could put all the pieces together and help me manage all my symptoms comprehensively. Instead, I got a cynic. She told me that yes, I'd tested POSITIVE for Sjogren's in the past and yes, it was unusual that I'd just had a salivary gland removed the way Sjogren's patients tend to have, BUT SHE DIDN'T QUITE BELIEVE IT (What????), so she wanted to test me again. The same tests. Again. And true to the tricky behavior of autoimmune markers, they decided to hide that day. (That should be Autoimmune 101). Then she denied the results of my adrenal tests showing a need for steroids, which had absolutely transformed my life for the better. Then, when I said I'd like to move my pain management from a clinic to rheumatology where it belongs, I suddenly became the worst of all things ... a drug seeker. (UW reflexively labels everyone in pain as a drug seeker. There is no such thing as pain, by the way, not even from a torn shoulder or torn plantar plate or the arthritis stemming from those injuries.) I am 53 years old and she asked me if I'd ever tried ADVIL or TYLENOL. What???? You mean the first line of defense? You mean the most obvious place to start? In what world would I come to a doctor asking for help with pain if I hadn't tried everything else? Yes, I had tried those OTCs and so much more. I'd given them to my children, who are almost as old as she is. In a spectacular wrap-up, she actually said, "We don't have time for people like you." I assume she forgot that I, along with all her other patients, pay her very, very well for every minute of her time. I believe UW perpetuates elitism, I believe it perpetuates negative stereotypes about female patients, I believe that if you've ever dealt with depression or anxiety at UW, it's the first thing many UW doctors consider when they "consider" your acute symptoms. A teaching hospital at this level has very serious issues when every patient looks like a problem, not a human being.

This journey started last year with a Leukemia diagnosis for our youngest child. Words can't even begin to explain the emotional process that our family went through just to understand, "how could this happen to our kid?" The staff here in the oncology and cancer ward were absolutely amazing and helped us through every step of the journey. Parents bring their kids from all over the region to come here for treatment. We are so lucky to have this hospital a short distance away. Countless in-patient weeks with weekly clinic visits had us seeing many days here at the hospital. There are so many amenities such as the family resource center, chapel, child life specialists, physical therapists, etc. that they have every need taken care of while your kid is in the hospital. As of today, we've made it through the toughest two phases of his treatment and are now entering the marathon of the two year maintenance phase. As much as I look forward to never having to go back, I truly appreciate all of the amazing staff here, especially in the oncology wing, who my child and I will miss dearly.

But i felt St Anne's saved my life and was very caring staff and will always be grateful to them ... I was lucky, between doctors, nurses and staff, I found some caring people... Even now, same thing, awesome people here ! My only complaint is, the beef in their food, everything else is eatable but the BEEF, I think it came out of a can ? Vegetable are over cooked, pasta is the same, chicken is eatable, its the BEEF that we all question !!! But thats my only complaint about this place ... I was told I could call to get an update on his condition daily so I called after he was in there for a day. The nurse answered sounding like she didn't understand why I was calling and she said he was fine no updates. My husband had put on his contact list someone that was an enabler for his addiction. As his wife I was listed as a main contact with full access to his file there. He planned to go to a year program straight after detox however the dates for a bed was pushed back during his stay there. The day before his discharge I told the nurse to please have the doctor and case manager call me . My husband and I wanted to see if he could possibly extend his detox time there or be moved to the behavioral health area. I live separate from my husband due to his addiction and he was homeless. But lived on and off an enabler and person that did not support his sobriety . He expressed to me he did not want to go back due to the environment that would not be safe for him to go and had nowhere to go if he didn't go back. So the next day came and I never got a call from the doctor or case manager to discuss that situation . My husband said they were going to discharge him to go back to the enablers home. Last minute the treatment center contacted me and were able to get him a bed for the year program the same day.my husband had been taking suboxin there and the year long treatment center did not want him to continue on it when he got there. He was only on it for 5 days so they said we could support him in every way with the weaning off process. I called to let my husband know they could take him and 3 way called with the director of the treatment program he was going to enter, and got my husband on the phone . After explaining the situation to him my husband was still interested in pursuing moving forward. He said he has to talk to discharge nurse and his case worker . We were listening as he asked and the case worker yelled out they want to take you off suboxon! We talked about this she discouraged him from going into treatment made him talk to her and get off the phone with us . My husband never called back and now they let a addict out there to possibly overdose . These people actually persuaded my husband from getting TREATMENT! This is insane and now we have to wait and see what happens . This place is very unprofessional and missed the ball big time with this one. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR ADDICTION help there are plenty other places in Seattle that actually want to help people get the help they need.

I was admitted on a voluntary basis to this facility on Friday March 27, 2026. I reiterate…read moreVoluntarily. It was suggested that I go to rest and recover after what my husband and ER doctors decided was a manic episode. Prior to agreeing to be admitted I was given a mood stabilizer at the ER, Once that medication took effect, I was calm and clear and knew what triggers had initiated my so called "manic" episode. I should have not allowed myself to be admitted, and I will forever regret my compliance with the request. I was transferred via ambulance (because I did not have insurance and the only way to get my incarceration paid for) was to arrive via ambulance. My husband followed in his car as he was under the impression that he would be able to assist me getting settled, look at the facility and feel comfortable with the decision. He was not allowed into the facility and additionally, had to argue to say a 1-minute goodbye to me while I lay on a gurney. I was taken into a prison like setting, asked to strip, show the bottom of my feet, lift up my breasts for examination and bend over and spread my butt cheeks. Yes, it was a female transport agent (not a nurse nor professional care giver) , but a man stood on the other side of the door and potentially could see me. Imagine how that would feel to a woman who just remembered being raped as a young adult. Hence the manic episode. From there things got worse. I was physically handled, hugged, screamed at by patients and my roommate who were experiencing their own mental health crisis. This was clearly not the type of environment for my recovery that we were told. There was no consistent nor daily access to fresh air nor having a moment outside. When my husband complained (because the recording and brochure stated this was normal daily life as a patient), he was told outside time is only given when 5 or more patients (prisoners) wanted to go outside and also only when there was enough staff to take the prisoners outside. I was denied the Priveledge of breathing fresh air for 3 days. Once allowed, I was escorted outside, into a web of locking doors and gates and barbed wire, designed to keep people from escaping I was told when I inquired. The incidents of horrible care, food, healthy climate for healing was absent. I have a significant number of stories to support this in my brief time there. I am happy to provide further information to those who desire to know. Do Not Go Here!!!

Seen May 11 2026 in emergency room after driving myself in, which extended to hospital admissions…read moreand surgery for hernia repair and correcting obstructed bowel. ER took me in right away, I was given pain meds, all nurses and techs were very attentive, gave clear answers, I was assisted within minutes of requests at all times - from the time I arrived until leaving May 12, 2026. Surgeons answered all questions, I felt safe, cared for and seen as an individual and felt both protected and respected as a patient. Pain meds were given as needed they helped me with both chief complaint and residual migraine I had upon arrival. They helped me before during and after surgery and assisted me as I went thru steps of recovery afterwards . Admissions was great, drs top notch, all I came in contact with were pleasant and gave help right away and informed me each step of the way about my care and helped alleviate my fears and nervousness. This visit was easily one of the best visits I have had to an emergency room. I would both recommend and encourage others to seek treatment needed from this facility without hesitation.
