These guys area finally something different for the discouraged and disgruntled tenant. Their fees are reasonable and clear up front with no nasty surprises sprung on you when you pick up the keys. Their referencing system is all online and easy to complete and they had all the paperwork including inventory ready for us on the day of signing with no waiting about. Since moving in we have had a few maintenance issues that have been dealt with swiftly by competent and polite workmen. We had the misfortune to have a flood from an upstairs flat shortly after moving in and the agent (Max) could not have been more helpful, there was a plumber and an electrician there to do initial safety checks within half an hour of us calling and Max himself arrived to check things personally very shortly after. We have since been a little disgruntled with our landlord for taking their time getting the damage fixed but the agent has done everything they can to remedy our dissatisfaction including negotiating with our landlord for a rent reduction. So many agencies only care about what the Landlord wants and treat the tenants like scum, these guys are different, finally an agency that realises that the tenant is as much a customer as the landlord and treats us accordingly.

While we were away, our home was entered and looted by the owner. Fowler claimed no responsibility and cancelled the lease agreement. Fowlers also refused to return four months of rent. On entry you have to go up a small staircase (so not suitable for prams or wheelchairs) but when you get upstairs the offices are open and roomy and coffee is always offered.

Whether or not this results in great service is another matter. Speaking as a buyer (not a seller) there is not much to choose between the services of this and any other agent there local knowledge is the same and there eagerness to do a deal likewise. In my opinion, if you're selling all you're looking for is someone to stick the house on rightmove for you so why pay over the odds!!!!
