We first learned about Artstar Photography when reading reviews online, and I was impressed with Laura's perfect-score reviews. More importantly, I absolutely loved her style of photography, mixing artful candid shots with more traditional photographs, and her unique talent for capturing the emotion of her brides, grooms and parents, and the relationships between them. I spent several weeks searching for the right photographer, and found no one with photography more beautiful than Laura's. We were thrilled to find that she was available for our wedding! Knowing that we would spend a fair amount of time with the photographer on our wedding day, it was also important to me to find someone who would make the experience enjoyable to all those involved. Laura is kind, approachable, professional and a true joy to be around. She took the time to get to know me over the phone (as I live out of state). She was very receptive to my phone calls and emails, and extremely helpful in offering her suggestions to my questions about the photography, as well as other details about the wedding. On the big day, Laura and her assistant arrived early to catch the first moments of us getting ready. Patient and gracious, Laura took our last-minute rushing around in stride and managed to capture beautiful moments of that time. She took incredible candid shots during the ceremony, and afterward, quickly took the family portrait shots our parents were hoping to have. Laura effortlessly worked with all members of the wedding party, from the teary toddler flower girl, to the goofing-off groomsmen, to the parents of the bride and groom, taking amazing photographs of every step of the day. Although Laura took nearly a thousand photos that day (literally!), I was pleasantly surprised to find that very little of our time was spent posing for pictures. As a result, we were able to enjoy our guests and the reception. At sunset, Laura snuck away with me and the groom to take some shots against the sinking sun. This was a wonderful time for me and the groom to take a special moment to ourselves, and the pictures were among the most beautiful of the day. Laura stayed until the last song was played and we left the reception through a tunnel of guests and sparklers. She and her assistant worked tirelessly to capture every moment, while blending into the background and allowing us to fully enjoy each special moment of the day. The pictures she took were absolutely beautiful; her work was truly above my highest expectations. After the wedding, Laura stayed in close contact with me to make sure we were happy with all of the shots and the incredible slideshow she created for us. We've gotten so many compliments on the wedding photos, and many have commented that Laura's artful pictures moved them to tears. Laura truly a master at her craft; her work is beyond compare. If you are looking for a photographer who will capture the essence, emotion and beauty of your day, Laura is simply the best you could hope to find.
