The crew at Anderson's was super helpful and knowledgeable on two separate occasions. They sold me some shrimp and fiddler crab and told me a great spot on Sanibel to fish, and I landed fish both trips. The place has tons of product for beginners all the way to the fishing guide. Love this hidden gem. Definitely recommend Anderson's Bait and tackle. Sorry for the rookie fish pictures but you get the idea of what I caught. Go in and ask them where the fish are biting they definitely know. Thanks guys.

It was time to upgrade my running shoes, and I found the perfect place to do it right here. My…read moreBrooks Glycerin 19's had served me well, but after many miles and several years, it was time for new ones. I was greeted as I came into the store, and immediately noticed the huge selection of different brands and numbers of shoes along the far wall in the fitting area. Matt was an excellent employee who sized my feet using a pretty cool 3-D imaging machine that I had to stand on for about 5 seconds. The information was then sent to his handheld computer and, voila, it showed a 3-D view of my feet and a recommendation of shoe size taking into account length, width, and arch - pretty cool! Matt brought out 3 different brands of shoes for me to try on - Saucony, Karhu, and Brooks. Of the 3, I ended up buying the Brooks (Glycerin 23). They fit perfectly and it felt like I was walking on air. To be honest, I've always been a Brooks fan over the years and this shoe just reinforced my perception of what a great shoe they make. The price for these is on the upper side of the market (just under $200 with tax), but actually pretty competitive with other stores. Their store is located in the Bell Tower shopping mall and perpendicular across from Burntwood Tavern. They are locally owned and they expressed their appreciation for me shopping with them. If you're in need of a good pair of walking, hiking, or running shoes I recommend you check them out!

We met Sophia and she took really good care of us, recommending different shoes for based on the computer model that scanned our feet. What impressed us most was her taking the time to make sure we got in the right shoe and we were comfortable with it. My wife tried on about four pairs and I tried on three before we finally bought our shoes. I can't say enough good things about Sophia and the way she took care of us. From our perspective it was one of the best customer service experiences we've had so far in Florida and I would recommend anybody looking for a shoe to stop in and talk with these knowledgeable people -- guarantee they will get you the right ride for your feet! Thank you guys!

Grown men were also sick, so I didn't feel like such a wimp. The two in our group who weren't sick caught plenty of fish. The following day I went backwater fishing with a guide instead, and caught some fish. If you're looking for something affordable this is a great route. But definitely take dremamine!!!

Never got on…read moreany fish, most people on the boat were skunked, the couple of fish that were caught were small. The cruise was from 9:30am to 4pm, with 2 hours traveling out and 2.5 hours traveling back for 2 hours of fishing. That's if we stayed in one spot. We hit multiple no-fish-found locations that had us cruising around some more. Nobody talked to us while we were fishing, nobody gave us any advice, nobody cared at all that everyone but two of us were skunked for the day. In fairness, if we talked to the mate, he was nice, but only if we talked to him. We'd be fishing, the engine would randomly start, and we'd take off. Presumably to the next spot. The last time we just headed in. Nobody said anything to the people fishing. Nobody said that they were sorry for no fish, thank you for coming out to fish with us today, or anything at all. Nothing. Zero. Zippo. They apparently didn't pack any give-a-darn on the boat that day. As a life-long fisherman and user of charter captains for decades, I've never had an experience like this. They Really. Did. Not. Care. Even more disappointing was arriving back at the docs at the end of the day and see other boats tossing huge carcasses to the pelicans. A bad fishing day is a bad fishing day, but it sure looked like there were fish to be caught, and at least our boat was never able to put us on them. They lost some repeat customers.
