Additionally you even appeared in court on behalf of the client who failed to properly close a contract, then tried to have the court grant the earnest money back to him, which failed when the court found the contract to be fully valid, thus he forfeited the earnest money. I recently wrote a review about Andrea on a popular real estate website. Unsurprisingly, a response from Andrea was written to my negative review stating "facts" had been omitted. In the interest of sharing "facts", I figured I would share them here. This was my first home purchase for a primary residence. I have purchased (and continue to purchase) investment properties in Texas and have dealt with many different realtors ranging from extremely competent to average. I have never experienced anything like working with Andrea. Andrea represented both the buyer and seller in this scenario. Something I now regret. From the outset, Andrea was condescending to my wife and I. While we were waiting to get the clear to close from our bank, Andrea questioned us about funds we were waiting to post. More specifically, she asked if the money was coming from my parents. While it was none of her business where the funds were coming from, she clearly let it be known what she thought of our ability to afford a house in Alamo at a relatively young age (we were 31 and 29 at the time). While we were signing the closing documents at the title company, Andrea was present. The helpful and very polite woman at the title company asked us who our homeowners insurance was through. When I replied it was through USAA, Andrea quickly chimed in asking, "Aren't they one of the cheaper ones?" The woman at the title company was quick to respond that they were one of the best in the business. For those that do not know, USAA serves military families and they truly are a great company. I felt no need to address Andrea's comment myself. At this point, we wanted to be done with the process and not have to deal with Andrea for any longer than was necessary. Once we closed, we never saw Andrea on the day we received our keys or moved in. It's a common tradition, from what I understand, for realtors to at least be present when new home buyers receive keys and enter their new home for the first time. I guess it was just as well as we had no interest in continuing to have condescending remarks directed our way from the realtor who was "representing" us. Post closing, we immediately began to remodel. During the process of removing wall paper that had been painted over from two rooms, we found mold underneath. We immediately stopped the remodel and called in a mold company to assess. Meanwhile, we were specifically directed by Andrea that getting a mold inspection prior to close was not necessary. The mold inspection also located mold in the garage which could be seen by simply looking at the wall where the hot water heater was installed. It should be noted that the inspection was performed by someone Andrea had recommended. During two recent bathroom remodels our contractor questioned the inspection on our home given that exposed copper piping was sitting on the ground. The mold issue led to having lawyers getting involved and I found working through Andrea and Andrea's boss at Alain Pinel in Danville/Alamo to be so useless that we worked directly with the seller's lawyer. Only at this point did we end up getting reimbursed for mold remediation from the seller directly. I would never recommend Andrea for anything related to real estate. With so many options out there, there is no need to work with someone as unprofessional as Andrea and the team at Alain Pinel. read more

I am a client of Andrea's and wish to respond to the negative review posted by Michael T. on 9/17. Michael is not a client and has zero knowledge of any part of any actual real estate transactions with Andrea. He is simply the neighbor of one of her recent sale listings and transactions. I am very sorry that people like Michael T wish to take the time to write nasty comments on Yelp, wherein they reference "Infinite wisdom" (Sarcasm) and call fellow earth citizens "every dirt bag in the county with a car"...Wow. The elitism of this comment astounds me. The last time I checked it was ok to attend a yard sale. The reality is, this was not marketing for Andrea, was not self serving, and did not reflect "poor judgement". It was a very tragic situation where clients had in fact lost their daughter at a tragically young age, and did not have the strength or health to clear her home. It is in fact a sign of how hard Andrea works for her clients that she undertook the estate sale without compensation. I followed the story while all was in action and know how much energy she contributed for what was a very kind, heartfelt cause. Please do not let the pettiness of Michael T. influence your decision to work with Andrea Scott. She is absolutely the BEST at what she does. Thank you. read more

I wish to respond to Michael T.'s review, and thank Evelyn G. for her response. My daughter passed away from Ovarian cancer in July. She was the owner of the home Michael mentioned in his review. We chose Andrea as our agent after diligent research and interview. She provided an excellent marketing plan, prepared a beautiful brochure, and created an awesome virtual tour. Through her efforts, the house sold in three days! After accepting the offer, Andrea dealt with EVERYTHING. I can't even begin to explain how difficult it was for us to go through the home my daughter loved and called her retreat. After taking the items our family and Jennifer's friends wanted, Andrea took over dealing with clearing the home for us. I am sooo grateful for that. Andrea went well beyond her role as real estate agent. She was also a patient listener, a compassionate soul, and a genuine Godsend for our family as we carried the heavy burden of grief at the death our youngest child. Michael, I am truly sorry you were inconvenienced by the sale. I guess it should have been me conducting the sale, but my husband or I would never have managed.
